This is the direction to Magnitogorsk. Passing the village after which the complex is named, you will need to get to Novo-Abzakovo. I finally came to my senses from the road... 280 km in 4.5 hours - it was still very successful given the weather conditions! Because there, just over the mountains, the weather was simply excellent - light frost and sun. But already on the way out of the mountains towards Ufa, it began to rain, and with temperatures near zero, the road simply turned into a skating rink! Many of you probably felt this for yourself this Saturday.

Well, today I want to tell you about ski resort Abzakovo , from which we returned only yesterday. This resort is one of the most popular in Bashkiria, and in the Urals in general. It was once considered the most fashionable among local skiers. What Abzakovo looks like now, what is happening now on its slopes, and at what price level - read in this article.

Ski resort Abzakovo: what were you like...

I remember very well what this resort was like 15 years ago. Then, at the beginning of the 2000s, everything here was at the highest level. Good rope tow, chairlift from the Abzakovo holiday home; various slopes that - oh, miracle! - processed with a snowcat. Well, there were queues for the cable car, I must admit. On holidays ( New Year holidays, February 23, March 8) you could stand in line for the lift for 20 minutes or 30... But the good service at the resort at that time (the presence of warm changing rooms, luggage storage, rentals, food stations, etc.) made up for this shortcoming.

So, people went to Abzakovo. With great pleasure. We came there in huge groups! I still remember how we took a group photo of our group in the lower parking lot, and there were 22 people in it! It’s a pity, the photo was taken on film... Where is that photo now, and that film... So, on this mountain I honed my skiing technique. And what a thrill it was to go to the local water park in the evening after the mountain...

But the years passed. Other opportunities appeared: the Alps, the Caucasus... The last time I skied in Abzakovo was about five years ago. And therefore, when I sat down to write an article about that, I realized that I myself had not visited these places for a long time.

And then some fresh snow fell. In general, it was a sin not to go to Abzakovskaya Mountain, not to open the season... We booked a room at the Tau-Tash hotel, which is closest to the ski center, and hit the road.

After those many kilometers of travel that we had a month ago (the road from Sochi to Crimea, and then halfway across the country to Bashkiria), the 300 kilometers from Ufa to Abzakovo did not frighten us. The road was well known to me. I once drove along it so many times during the winter that I already knew every turn of the road like the back of my hand. We drive past the airport to Bulgakovo, then at the junction we go to Beloretsk. We fly along a straight road, passing Karmaskaly, Ulukulevo, Arkhangelskoye - and now the mountains appear.

We drive into the mountains, the road begins to make smooth turns. But there is also one 180-degree turn - this is the so-called Mother-in-law's language. From here to Inzer it’s only about 20 km. In Inzer there is cellular communication (but it disappears when entering the mountains). After Inzer, it’s about an hour’s drive through the mountains (about 70 km). Then the mountains end. Near Sermenevo, at a T-shaped intersection, we turn left and fly across the plain towards Beloretsk.

But here a surprise awaits me. Now literally 6 km after Sermenevo the road goes around Beloretsk. This bypass road has finally been built! Now you don’t need to trudge through traffic lights throughout Beloretsk. And we drive very comfortably along the new highway straight in the direction of Abzakovo. There are 35 km left to go.

But ski resort Abzakovo located - oops! - not in Abzakovo, but in Novoabzakovo. That is, in the neighboring village. But there is a difference of about 1.5-2 km along the highway. So don't be embarrassed. But put Novoabzakovo in your navigator.

In Novoabzakovo, opposite the railway station, you will see a sign to the GLC, to the Tau-Tash hotel. You will turn there (to the right if you are coming from Ufa). And then you’ll figure it out - go straight to the mountain, or go to the hotel you need...

We successfully check into the Tau-Tash Hotel. I must say, this is one of the very first hotels near the Abzakovo SLC.

Having thrown our things into the room, we set off to explore the resort.

Let's go along main street in the November twilight. And I see that quite a few new hotels and shops have appeared on this street. You can find a suitable hotel for yourself here:

A brand new log tower, the ALDEGO Hotel, attracts attention.

We reach the Abzakovo holiday home. Once upon a time it was considered unrealistically cool to meet here New Year. And in September-October, rooms in this generally good holiday home were selling like hot cakes. However, now it’s also quite lively here, although it’s only the beginning of November. Parents and children walk along the alleys, lights are on in the windows of the buildings...

For me, the first “new” object here was the “NON-STOP” entertainment complex. Bowling, billiards, a cinema hall, slot machines, a small store - it's all there. So now tourists definitely don’t have to get bored on long winter evenings.

And we go to eat at the Koteyka cafe, which is on the fork next to the Edelweiss Hotel. A light dinner (see photo) costs us 350 rubles for two. The quality of the food is very decent, everything is fresh, and the girl at the checkout is very friendly. So I recommend this place if you need a quick and inexpensive meal.

At ten o'clock we return to our hotel and soon fall into deep sleep. Fortunately, nothing outside the window disturbs the silence of the Ural night...

Trails and cable cars in Abzakovo.

The next day our task is to test the tracks and the cable car themselves. Well, for a ride, in short. At 11 a.m. we arrive at the GLC barrier. Having paid 100 rubles for entry and parking, we go to the upper parking lot.

On the way, I note: Abzakov’s menagerie is in the same place, has not gone anywhere.

The lower parking lot is completely free. There are about 10 cars on the top.

There is no excitement. It’s understandable: the beginning of the season, a weekday...

At the ticket office we purchase a ski pass for the big cable car for 3 hours, costing 650 rubles. For 1 hour it costs 300 rubles, for 2 hours - 450 rubles. For the whole day - 1000 rubles. These are weekday rates. It's profitable to take it for the whole day. But considering that I haven’t skated since April, I don’t risk it and take it for 3 hours. Enough for a start. The children's cable car costs 200 rubles per hour.

The ski lifts in Abzakovo have not changed since the first time I skied here. However, the tow rope with storage works quite well. And it goes fast, you don’t have time to freeze.

Hurray, we are at the top! The views are very beautiful, the weather on this day is favorable for us: closer to lunch, the clouds clear and life-giving sunlight spills over the mountains...

Of all the Abzakovo routes, only this route No. 5 is open this time. The others are still closed - there is still not enough snow. But they spray it intensely - the guns work non-stop.

I fly along a familiar slope and remember all its features. Due to the fact that this route is well lit by the sun and blown by winds, it was often covered with an ice crust. Especially this was fraught with slipping and falling on a twist in the middle of the track.

But today the mountain is pleased with its good surface: moderately hard, without icy “bald patches”. So the pleasure from riding is complete and limitless!

And endless. There are very few people on the lift.

After lunch, the athletes appear. They place markers on the track and begin training.

And our legs are already buzzing. And we go for a walk around the GLC.

There are no big changes here. This is the same cafe where President V.V. Putin himself once did not disdain to drink tea.

Yes. there was such a glorious page in the history of Abzakovo! We rode next to our President, can you imagine? Some of our especially agile guys even took pictures with him in this very cafe!

But this is the picture observed in the parking lot in the evening - there were a few more cars, apparently the good weather spurred skiers from nearby Magnitogorsk and Beloretsk.

Let's go down the stairs. These houses were also once considered a very cool accommodation option.

To date, they have not changed in appearance. But what’s inside, whether reconstruction or at least cosmetic repairs were carried out - history is silent... Reviews on the Internet suggest that not much was done there.

As for infrastructure. There are no new trails at the resort. In total we have: 15 well-groomed trails prepared by snowcats (green, blue and red) with a total length of about 18 km.

The resort also has sports shops and ski equipment rentals. There is an instructor service. The resort is acquiring new hotels, which means its services are in demand.

Overall, I had a positive impression of visiting the Abzakovo ski resort. The good news is that you can still have a good ride here for reasonable money. It is obvious that the resort continues to be in demand among skiers from surrounding cities.

The Abzakovo ski center has slopes of varying difficulty and experienced professional instructors, since there is artificial snow on the slopes, there are no problems with the lack of snow or poor quality of the slopes. In general, all lifts can serve more than 5,000 people in an hour, the lift lasts approximately 5-8 minutes, the chairlift covers more than 2,000 m in 16 minutes, starting from the very bottom.

The routes, which are marked with numbers 3 and 4 on the diagram, are ideal for experienced athletes who are not afraid of high speeds. The length of the first route is only 365 meters, but it is considered one of the most dangerous in Abzakovo. By the way, the height difference here is 126 meters.
The second red track is suitable for endurance sports. Its length is 1260 meters, and at the same time there are serious turns and dangerous sections along the descent. That is why this descent is recommended only for experienced skiers.
Medium blue trail
This descent is intended for experienced athletes who have a good command of technique. This is one of the longest runs in the entire resort, and its length is 1610 meters. The height difference is also great and amounts to 297 meters.
The blue route has a small branch, indicated on the diagram number 6. Now the sixth route has become almost separate and is also suitable for experienced athletes. Its length is 1260 meters, and the height difference is striking in its magnitude and amounts to 295 meters.
Two tracks for beginners
Excellent slopes, ideal for beginners. The first of them is 120 meters long, the second is 340 meters. The height difference is 20 and 78 meters, respectively.
Route to the Abzakovo holiday home
The longest but gentlest slope in the entire resort. Despite the fact that its length is 3280 kilometers, the descent does not have any difficult turns, so it is very easy to go through. The elevation difference here is 288 meters.

The length of the first descent is 877 meters, the second 970. At the same time, the height difference is 215 and 190 meters, respectively. The slopes can be completed by both beginners and experienced athletes.
