Visa to countries

A visa is a document permitting entry into the country.

There are visa-free, visa-free and conditionally visa-free countries. a list of countries by which you can check which type of visa regime, which country belongs to.

Do you need a visa to Spain?

Yes. Spain is a country included in the Schengen area. To travel to Spain you need a visa.

Is it difficult to get a visa to Spain?

About 8 years ago it was difficult to obtain a visa to Spain. Spain was known as the most capricious Schengen country. Lots of refusals, strict selection.

Now the conditions for obtaining a visa have become easier. Moreover, on travel forums and in communities we constantly come across joyful messages from independent tourists that they have been issued an annual visa. You can read about how to get a Schengen multiple visa.

Where is the joy? The fact is that they applied for a regular short-term visa for a trip to Spain, and at the Spanish visa center they thought about something, looked at the tourist’s travel history and decided to issue a visa to Spain for a year.

These are the pleasant surprises you can get from the Spanish visa center.

How to apply for a tourist visa to Spain yourself

Applying for a visa to Spain on your own is no more difficult than applying through a travel agency. But much cheaper. We have talked about this more than once, and we will talk about it again.

To obtain a visa to Spain, you need to collect a package of documents and submit them to the Spanish visa center or the Spanish Consulate.

What is the difference?

At the consulate:

  1. Submitting documents for a visa by appointment. Those. you need to call the consulate or go to their website and find out what date you can sign up for
  2. You only pay for the visa (visa fee for Russian citizens is 35 euros).
  3. Visas are issued only for the requested dates

At the visa center:

  1. Information updated as of June 2017- You can apply for a visa only by appointment.
  2. There is also a fee for a visa; the visa category is tourist. Information from the official website: visa fee 2260 rubles, and service fee 998 rubles. Only cash accepted. The cost of a visa may vary depending on the euro exchange rate.
  3. They can issue a visa for a year

Surely, there is a difference in the degree of complexity of your question or in the details, but you need to find out about this only at the consulate or visa center itself.

Information about all visa centers for Russian cities is on the official website Spain visa service center.

You need to learn about what documents are needed and what are the requirements for them from the materials published only on the official site.

There you can also find out information about the visa centers themselves - in which cities new ones have opened, in which ones they have closed, when the visa centers are on holiday, and when they are working normally.

The list of documents that need to be submitted to the visa center is the same as for many other EU countries:

  • questionnaire,
  • international passport (and a copy of all pages)
  • A copy of all pages of other passports: valid and canceled.
  • A copy of the completed pages of the general passport
  • certificate from the place of work,
  • hotel reservations
  • confirmation of your financial solvency,
  • bank account statement (Financial status: €64.53 per person for each day of stay (minimum €580.77 per trip per person)
  • insurance,
  • photographs (take them in advance, the new visa center does not have such a service yet).

Therefore, people deceive themselves when they pay money to intermediaries for obtaining a visa, who supposedly have special opportunities and loopholes in the visa center.

The visa center has a special hall for submitting group documents. We saw specialists there. They wait their turn in the same way, prepare their folders, submit documents to the window.

Friends, the visa center is very comfortable spot, where everything is thought out and done for the convenience of the person submitting documents.

But there are also cases when it will be easier to prepare documents through a travel agency.

Friends, we are now on Telegram: our channel about Europe, our channel about Asia. Welcome)

We go to the Spain visa center

We leave the Oktyabrskaya metro station, find ourselves on Kaluga Square, a little to the right of the monument - on the ground floor, there is a children's library (under an advertisement for Raiffeisen Bank). We are heading straight between the monument and the library; the visa center building we need is located immediately behind the children's library.

This is the visa center building, the center itself is located on the second floor of this shopping center
