The festival of electronic music and technologies began its work on Friday.
At 15:00, numerous and absolutely diverse areas of the festival were opened for guests throughout the territory. Some of them were located in tents, and some were stylized.
The "Beeline" zone stood out from afar with its bright yellow and black color, an unusual car was located near the "BlaBlaCar".
The “Technology Zone” also looked noticeable.
These are technologies that meet people, and people meet technologies. This year's meeting was truly pleasant. In the "space" tents, guests could appreciate and try out all the modern gadgets.
Mubert dancer totem was presented here - adaptive music created by a real-time algorithm, you put on headphones and hear music that is generated online.
There was also Any Walker - a robot that could move freely in any environment, it is controlled using a smartphone.
The guests tested the full power of the NVR helmet, putting it on, a person plunged into virtual reality: he flew across the sky, rode on a swing.
There was an unusual project "Ogivayka" - 3D-coloring, a game that allows you to paint pictures using a tablet: no felt-tip pens are needed, the coloring process takes place on the screen in real time.
The "Smart House" stood out against the background of other objects. All modern technologies were presented in it. Plumbing and household appliances that are controlled remotely. A touchscreen monitor is built into the wall, with the help of which the blinds open and close, and the air conditioner is turned on. All these innovations were developed by the iRidium mobile company from Nizhny Tagil, with which well-known mobile systems plan to cooperate.
The most popular was the ART-zone: huge queues stood up to "immerse" in the painting by Marc Chagall. Those who wished to stand on a raised platform in the form of a cloud, put on headphones and glasses. Then he ended up on a cloud, and around was everything that is depicted in the work of Chagall. Inside the work of art, he could spin around and see the painting in 3D.
It's not just electronic music. This year everyone could express themselves and take part in music competitions. Contestants from MTV competed on the Casa Musica stage. They were evaluated by a professional jury: Andrey "Sun" (SunSay group), member of the Tesla group. Another musical competition took place on the Umaker stage. There everyone could compete in the art of improvisation. Beginning musicians also performed here.
The opening of the main stage took place at 20:00. The first to perform was the Nizhny Novgorod band Going Deeper. And the headliners of the day were Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike. True, only one participant went on stage, the second fell ill and could not fly.
The main "chip" was the bewitching "Intro" to the live accompaniment of a violinist and a drummer. All this was accompanied by a pyrotechnic show. The organizers liked this idea so much that they decided to repeat the prologue on the second day.
On the second day of Alfa Future People 2016, all areas of the festival continued to operate. Some were aimed at the activity of the guests.
"Beeline" arranged an unusual competition. You had to take your photos on the territory and bring them to the company tent. All images with the face of the contestant were selected online and posted to social networks in the Beeline frame.
Self-lovers could also climb up to 15 meters high to take a mind-blowing selfie.
Seminars to the rhythms of deep house were held in the Rave-yoga tent.
But the focus was still on the main stage.
Their sets were played by W&W, Aleksander Popov, Johnny Kelvin, who surprised all the guests and unexpectedly sang “Call me, call me”. The young and very popular Lost Frequencies also performed.
Swanky Tunes flew straight from the Belgian festival "Tomorrowland".
And after them, the second part of the show began with content about love. This year the organizers decided to make an "ideological" festival. The theme of Alfa Future People 2016 is love. Before the DJ performance, there was a thematic screensaver, the leitmotif of the entire festival: “We are the people of the future. We are here to discover the truth. The truth is simple. This is Love".
With love and impatience, everyone was waiting for the Dutch DJ Armin van Buuren. By 00:00 everyone began to get closer to the stage.
The organizers arranged a real holiday for all the fans. Tickets for the spring concert of Armin van Buuren were on sale at the festival. The lucky ones could take the autograph of the famous DJ on the ticket itself.
The headliner himself appreciated the idea of the festival. Armin van Buuren told reporters that for him, technology is an integral part of life when everything is in a mobile phone. He loves the ability of mobile technology to tune in to the radio shows he hosts.
Armin van Buuren's performance did not last an hour and a half.
He was replaced by another famous DJ - Martin Garrix. After the set, the guests were again treated to an enchanting show with elements of pyrotechnics.
Then powerfully performed by Pendulum, who really "lit up" and rocked the audience. DJ Bobina was the last to take the main stage in the morning.
The fifth anniversary festival of contemporary music and technology Alfa Future People, supported by Alfa-Bank in the Nizhny Novgorod region, has prepared an impressive program - more than 100 DJs, 15 hours of lectures on futuristic topics, 23 sports, the latest gadgets and the most developed festival infrastructure in Russia under open sky. All this will happen from 10 to 12 August in the village of Bolshoe Kozino, Nizhny Novgorod region.

Music
To accommodate about 100 musicians, the organizers had to make four stages.
Main Alpha Stage
The headliners of the anniversary festival - Tieso, Steve Aoki, Alesso and Afrojack - will perform on the largest stage, equal in height to a nine-story building. They will be accompanied by Aly&Fila, Aphrodite, DVBBS, Gareth Emery, Going Deeper, KSHMR, Swanky Tunes, Vini Vici, Yellow Claw.
Bass Stage by S7 Airlines
This year S7 introduces the Bass Stage in a new original interpretation of GATE7. On stage there will be sets of representatives of such styles as hardstyle, drum and bass and even shoegaze. For three days, Flux Pavilion, Fonarev, Headhunterz, Krewella, Modestep, Noisecontrollers, Rudimental Dj Set, Slander, Slushii, Subfocus, Victor Strogonov, Volac, Zeskullz, Dolphin, as well as Netsky and What So Not, who arrive by special invitation from S7 Airlines. Miller Future Music

In the afternoon, 30 DJs selected during a large-scale all-Russian casting organized by the ShowCast talent search project together with Alfa-Bank will perform on the new stage. Well, closer to the night, the winners of the competition will be replaced by the legends of the electronic scene: Proxy, Alexander Popov, Anton Bruner, Byor, Dima Dem, Dropzone, Filatov&Karas, Fonarev, Gambino Sound Machine, John B, Lost Capital, Nadya, Peter Lankton, Profit, Slider&Magnit, Teddy Killerz, The Dual Personality, Tigerlay, Van Murten.
Sport
For the first time at the festival, it will be possible to pass the TRP standards - the sports complex "Ready for Labor and Defense". AFP will also host traditional volleyball competitions organized by the Dr.Körner brand, football freestyle, EMS training, laser tag competitions, Alpha Gravity master classes from one of the most flexible people in the world. In 2018, the sports area at Alfa Future People will be expanded to 10,000 sq. m., 500 professional athletes will perform on it in three days.
Technology
The technology zone will consist of three tents dedicated to the topics of health, communications, self-development, safety and ecology. A large-scale exhibition of high-tech gadgets will unfold there, including: a vertical agricultural farm by artist Ivan Karpov, a smart hydration system Water IO, an innovative new Volkswagen Touareg car, a futuristic ATTO suitcase scooter, Raptor augmented reality glasses for cyclists, a personal trainer of the future VI and a high-tech store The Data Dollar Store from Kaspersky Lab, where you can buy goods for information.

Visitors will also enjoy an exclusive experience - they will be among the first in the country and the world to evaluate the Spider-Man game coming out in the fall. In the second tent, there will be zones dedicated to sports: FIFA 18, which is especially relevant this summer, and the popular GT Sport races.
Infrastructure
Hot showers, comfortable VIP camping caravans and a completely contactless payment system at the festival are far from the amenities available to festival visitors.
As in previous years, with Mastercard, the territory of the most technologically advanced music festival will again become a comfortable space without cash. Arts and Entertainment
This year, for the first time, a full-fledged contemporary art area will be built at Alfa Future People. For example, "Borjomi" decided to surprise fans of electronic music - not only with the stylish design of a new luminous limited edition can, specially created for Alfa Future People, but also with a large-scale art space. The futuristic installations were created in collaboration with the British Higher School of Design. Students and alumni of the "Britanka" participated in a creative competition for two months to create the best concept. As a result, a series of non-standard art objects was born: places for new acquaintances, bright dances and, of course, creative photographs.
In addition, Alfa-Bank's special guest at the festival will be a fashion artist, the author of the largest calligraphy in the world and the creator of the design of the Mastercard Next youth card - Pokras Lampas. On August 10 and 11, from 16:00 to 20:00, Pokras will introduce everyone to his work, reveal the secret of success and give everyone the opportunity to test their skills in calligraphy.

The large Alfa Future People technology zone this year will turn into a real “City of the Future”, divided into several thematic sections. Here, 30 leading foreign and Russian technology brands will present their developments, more than 100 innovative devices will be demonstrated, including presentations of 10 Russian technology projects.
Between DJ sets and lectures by experts in the field of science and technology, "people of the future" will be able to take part in sports master classes and discover new sports. The Alfa Future People 2016 sports zone will provide ample opportunities for recreation both for lovers of classic sports and for lovers of extreme sports, dancing or yoga. Every morning at the festival will begin with an energetic workout from professional fitness trainers.
This year, one of the most comfortable festival venues in the world will be organized on the banks of the Volga. Alfa Future People in 2016 offers parking for 3,000 cars, wireless Internet access on the festival site, two campsites with all amenities and food courts with the best examples of world cuisines.
History of the festival
The Alfa Future People festival started in 2014 as a marketing campaign by Alfa-Bank aimed at the target audience - young and active people who are not afraid of new ideas and become trendsetters themselves.
The first year of Alfa Future People brought a resounding success to the festival - the festival was awarded two national awards "Event of the Year": "Musical Event of the Year" and "Best Technical Implementation of the Event".
In just two years, the festival has grown into a strong independent brand, widely known not only in Russia but also abroad. In 2015, the festival of electronic music and technology brought together more than 100 of the world's best DJs and more than 40,000 spectators from Russia, Europe and far-abroad countries.
The high level of Alfa Future People was noted by world and Russian experts in the field of organizing events: according to the results of the year, Alfa Future People received the title of the best musical event of the year in Europe at The European Best Event Awards. In Russia, Alfa Future People was twice recognized as the best musical event according to the national award "Event of the Year", and the KudaGo portal awarded it the title of the best music festival in 2015.

On 50 hectares of the festival area there were 6 stages, where more than 120 DJs performed, including such world-famous artists as Arty, Borgore, deadmau5, DJ Smash, DJ Snake, Steve Angello, Infected Mushroom and Sander van Doorn.
A presentation took place in the technology zone bmw I8, as well as the Russian premiere of the camera GoPro Hero4 Session. In the lecture hall, top bloggers talked about the best novelties in the world of gadgets. The guests tried virtual reality and three-dimensional technologies, and also learned a lot about modern health technologies.
In the sports zone, guests practiced yoga, fitness and dancing, played frisbee and streetball, as well as jumped on trampolines and climbed to the sky on the climbing wall. During the festival, a football cup was played and a colorful race was held.
More than 300 trucks with equipment were required to organize the festival, more than 100 km of communications were carried out. The largest festival stage in the history of Russia was built on the field near Bolshoy Kozino. A colorful structure with a unique architectural design and dimensions of 94 meters in length and 27 meters in height entered the Russian book of records. The sound equipment matched the scale of the stage and the enchanting light show: the sound power at Alfa Future People exceeded 1 megawatt.

Headliners
Armin Van Buuren, World-famous Dutch musician and producer, who held the title of the best DJ in DJ Magazine for four years in a row, was nominated for a Grammy and hosts the radio show A State of Trance with an audience of over 30 million people worldwide. For many music connoisseurs, the trance style itself is associated precisely with Armin Van Buuren. In 2013, the DJ was nominated for a Grammy in the category "Best Dance Recording" for the song This Is What It Feels Like.
Armin van Buuren performs all over the world and is perhaps the most famous electronic music artist in the world. Armin regularly participates in the events of the Dutch Royal Family. Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike . The duet was formed by brothers from Belgium, and at the moment they hold the title of the best DJs in the world according to DJ Magazine. Martin gained worldwide fame thanks to the track Animals, which for many months was in the TOP-10 in Belgium, Ireland, the UK and other countries. Martin's interest in music began at the age of 4, when he first picked up a guitar. At the age of 8, he saw Tiesto perform at the opening ceremony of the 2004 Athens Olympics.

WIWEK, the founder of the Jungle Terror genre, combining electronic music with tropical rhythms, will be the highlight of the Alfa Future People festival. The Dutch DJ and producer rose to prominence in 2011, and in 2012 he launched his own label, RIMBU, with Gregor Salto.

Sports zone
Sports and outdoor activities are the best opportunity to entertain yourself in between DJ sets, and exercising under the guidance of leading fitness instructors or a yoga practice is the perfect start to a new festival day.
In 2016, the sports zone is expanding so that everyone can find a suitable type of physical activity for themselves. Among the 15 different sports, you can find classic, extreme and alternative sports that have been developed in recent times.
Guests of the festival will witness an American football match between two professional teams, and fans of "traditional" sports will also be able to compete for the Alfa Future People Cup in football and basketball. Like last year, a large area for frisbee players will be organized.
This year, for the first time, extreme sports are organized at the festival. It will be possible to drive on pit bikes and take off with the help of a "slingshot" - a special catapult for people, as well as conquer your first peak on a professional climbing wall.
For the most advanced, there will be an opportunity to try sports that have appeared relatively recently and are only gaining momentum. Tightrope walking, Fly Fit, ball-boards, Pole dance and aerial canvases significantly diversify your usual workouts. Separately, it is worth noting the novelty of a particularly popular format of yoga classes to modern electronic music - Yoga Rave.
At each of these venues, you can take part in competitions, master classes, watch demonstrations or just go in for sports and recharge your batteries for the whole day.
Infrastructure
One of the main distinguishing features of Alfa Future People is the modern infrastructure that will make your stay at the festival as comfortable as possible. In the immediate vicinity of the festival will be equipped with two comfortable campsites: "Alpha" and "Omega". The two protected sites will be able to accommodate a total of 4,000 tents for 4 people, for a total of up to 16,000 people. Both sites are equipped with points for the sale of food and drinks. Guests of the Alfa camping will also be provided with free Wi-Fi access from Beeline, free lockers for recharging gadgets, as well as lockers for valuables and documents.
In the zone Alpha Lounge offers a comfortable terrace with a frontal view of the stage, a separate dance floor located on a hill, as well as a special menu of dishes and drinks.
The Alfa Future People food court has more than 25 food outlets representing various gastronomic trends - Russian, Italian, American, Pan-Asian, Japanese and other cuisines.
Transport
The festival parking lot is designed for 3,000 cars and will be open around the clock from July 21st. There is a separate parking area for motorhomes.
Bus tours from Russian cities will be an excellent solution for those who go to the festival without a personal car. For those who travel by Alfa Future People from Nizhny Novgorod, a special train with musical accompaniment from the tracks of the festival participants will run every hour between Moskovsky railway station and Bolshoe Kozino station.
Territory without cash
Alfa Future People has become the first large-scale festival in Russia, the territory of which is completely free of cash. As in previous years, all payments at the festival are made only by bank cards, including contactless technology. All guests will receive a bracelet with Alfa-Bank's contactless MasterCard at the entrance. This bracelet is both an electronic pass to the festival site and an "electronic wallet" that will allow you to simply, quickly and safely pay for all purchases at the festival with one touch. It will be possible to top up the balance of the card in the bracelet at any of the 45 ATMs installed on the territory of the festival.
Tickets
You can buy a ticket to the festival on the Alfa Future People website afp.ru/ticket. Already now there is an increase in the purchase of tickets by foreign guests, compared with last year. Fans of electronic music from all over the world, including Australia, Japan and the USA, show interest in the festival. As of April 14, 2016, 3.5 more tickets were sold than last year on the same date.

Where does the Alfa Future People festival take place?
The festival takes place in mid-July near Nizhny Novgorod, near the village of Bolshoe Kozino. This location is very convenient only for the Nizhny Novgorod residents themselves. They used this convenience properly and almost every third guest AFP-2015 was from Nizhny. The rest of the fans of electronic music and outdoor events had to travel.

Based on numerous reviews, traveling by car was extremely complicated by serious traffic jams during rush hours at the entrance to the festival, at which time some motorists were not even able to get to paid parking. 
Another shortcoming was the deep gravel surface of the parking lot, which led to numerous jams and even damage to the car. The organizers still need to work and work on a competent arrangement of travel and parking in order to get closer to the comfort of travel, which is characteristic of some world festivals, for example, creamfields In Great Britain. More fortunate were those who arrived on Thursday, as well as participants in bus tours who arrived from Friday morning. There were also those who hitchhiked, came to the festival by train and flew in by plane. Someone even moored on a boat, and some VIP arrived by helicopter. 
Check-in and accommodation on AFP
For guests, 2 main campsites were organized - Alpha and Omega. The guests of Alpha camping, shown in the photo against the background of the temple, were located closer to the entrance to the festival and settled in branded tents set up in advance for them AFP with spread rugs and sleeping bags. Residents of Omega camping brought equipment with them. Unfortunately, even when they finally got to the festival, most of the guests met a huge queue for registration at the campsite. Especially unlucky in this regard were ticket holders to Alfa-camping, where many had to stand for several hours under the scorching sun in anticipation of settling. By the way, we were very lucky with the weather during the day and there were no rains, although at night it was possible to warm up only by active dancing, strong drinks or already in a sleeping bag in our tent. The quality of equipment at Alpha camping, according to many tourists, also left much to be desired, and the closer location to the stages prevented sleep more than the Omega population. Oddly enough, but the concept of "quiet time" on some scenes adjacent to the campsites was absent even in the early morning. 
In addition to the Omega and Alpha campsites, there were organized campsites from other companies, including Europe Plus, Music Travel, etc. It was not particularly tempting to rent a hotel room in Novgorod due to traffic difficulties, but there were such guests. Some settled in tents as savages in the free adjacent territory, although for greater security of personal belongings it was still better to stay in organized camps. We also met tourists who rented accommodation in the village of Bolshoye Kozino itself.
Festival entry and security
Before settling into the campsite, all participants underwent a rather thorough inspection for the presence of prohibited items and alcohol in the glass. After checking in, guests exchanged tickets for smart bracelets with an embedded MasterCard PayPass chip. The bracelet provided multiple entrances to the festival and made it possible to make non-cash payments for purchases on the territory with one touch. The balance of the bracelet had to be topped up at Alfa-Bank ATMs located on the festival grounds. Together with the bracelet, each guest received an unnamed Alfa-Bank debit card. 
The card and bracelet can also be used after the festival for 2 years. Cards of other banks were also accepted for payment, but there was no possibility to pay for anything in cash.
In front of the entrance to the festival there were left-luggage offices where, for a moderate fee, one could leave valuable and/or bulky items so that nothing interferes with the musical rest.
Passage to the festival was carried out through metal detector frames, followed by an individual approach of a security officer. There were no especially long queues, except for peak hours, when there were not enough personnel to search the girls. However, even during this period, the delay usually did not exceed 20 minutes. 
The festival was heavily guarded by police, private security companies and guards. Alpha Future Security in black clothes. Incorrect behavior and conflict situations were not noticed - safety was on top. Some world-class DJs were accompanied by their own security. 
Territory and plan of the festival
Alfa Future People spread over as much as 50 hectares of field, which ensured comfortable movement and accommodation for several tens of thousands of people. An asphalt road passed through the entire festival, used by both tourists and official vehicles. Most people still preferred to walk right across the field with mowed grass. The plan-scheme of the festival, taken from the official website of Alfa Future People, helped a lot to navigate the area and find everything that was needed. 
Perhaps there is not a single visitor who would immediately get straight to the main stage, because on the way he met unusual scenery, friendly assistants Alfa Future People and sponsor promoters. And the music and interesting design of some additional scenes beckoned to look. Definitely, everyone had a way to spend time, but more on that later. 
Food courts, drinks and food (prices)
On the territory of the festival itself there were a large number of points selling food and drinks (see photo). There are different opinions on the topic of food prices, but everyone could find something for themselves.

Prices were especially high for peaches, watermelon slices, cherries and other fresh fruits. Among the dozens of food outlets, there was also a vegetarian cuisine with food and sweets. Beer selection was limited to beer drink Miller in banks on 0.6 l. with closing lid. VIP bars did not have a very wide range of cocktails, but they had something to offer. When it was hot and sunny during the day at the festival, it was possible to have a snack in the shady coolness under a canopy. On the AFP multi-colored trash cans were divided by type - paper, plastic, metal and other waste. It's nice that the organizers took care of the further processing of garbage. 
High tech
Partially glazed domes of the high-tech zone were striking at the festival, sometimes attracting many people. 
At the entrance stood modern hybrids and electric vehicles, including Tesla and bmw i8, and on the territory of the festival there were ATVs with electric drive. 
In the technology zone itself, it was possible to experience several high-quality virtual reality helmets (up to 4K resolution) from Russian developers - ride a roller coaster, fly a hang glider or feel like a pilot of a Star Wars space attack aircraft 
in a simulator with a dynamic chair moving in two planes. Perhaps, excessive attention was paid to 3D printing technologies, which took up too much space. Those who wished could also ride segways, among which were innovative compact models. Entertained the guests in the DJ technology zone, playing on an unusual projection DJ console. In the photo you can see the projector itself, which is responsible for the image on the remote control. Outside the high-tech zone, quadcopters looked quite futuristic, actively filming many music scenes and throughout the festival. 
Internet and charging points
The 4G tower provided communication for the latest generation of LTE device owners, and almost all of the 50 hectares of the festival area were Beeline's free Wi-Fi zone. The network at times experienced congestion, but in case of special need, it was possible to find a working Internet. The presence of Wi-Fi was not just a bonus, but also a necessity, because the DJs' performance schedules were only available as an application, by the way, taking up about 36 MB. It would not be superfluous to hang up the schedule of the participants at least in one place, if not handing out booklets, as is done at many similar events abroad.
There were several places at the festival where you could recharge your phone or tablet. Some spots had built-in chargers with popular plugs sticking out, and some were just sockets. Unfortunately, the current power was very weak and people had to "hatch" their device for a VERY long time, wasting their precious festival time. Engineers obviously made a mistake in the calculations when designing the power supply of charging stations. Given that the participants' schedules were only accessible via the mobile app, many were forced to spend more time at the charging stations. I really want to believe that in the coming years AFP charging lockers will appear so that there is no need to guard your gadget. You can, of course, play it safe, buy and take with you such useful travel items as a portable charger, a spare battery or a solar charger.
Contests, gifts and souvenirs
Thanks to the large number of sponsors of the festival, there were many competitions. Beeline lured everyone to virtual racing competitions on Android tablets. For participation or victory, points were awarded, which could later be exchanged for various prizes and souvenirs. 
Many sponsors offered to take themed selfies with further posting photos on social networks to participate in the contest. Company Google arranged a competition "Chekhov is alive!", in which it was necessary to record on video the narration of an excerpt from Chekhov's works. The system automatically accrued points that were exchanged for prizes. Company Pepsi conducted tastings of non-labeled carbonated drinks and recorded the taste impressions of all participants. Those who did not have time to become a participant in competitions and win prizes could 
to buy souvenirs in a souvenir shop - you could choose from various items of clothing, key chains and magnets. By the way, souvenir products were expensive, for example, a magnet cost 200 rubles to those who wished, an AFP branded T-shirt - 650 rubles. According to feedback from the forum, the souvenir shop lacked warm clothes and blankets - it was quite cold at night, despite the fact that during the day many walked in beach clothes. Fans of sports and outdoor activities were not forgotten either - the festival was attended by a climbing wall, American football, unusual football in balloons (bumperball), laser tag, basketball, paintball, yoga, beach volleyball, frisbee and more.
Positive guests of the festival
What can I say, on Alfa Future People met mostly positive, creative and interesting people. In addition to guests dressed in casual style and lovers of electronic music in bright club clothes, cosplayers dressed as their favorite heroes met at the festival. You could almost see the real iron man, transformers, Japanese anime characters and many others. Some amused others with funny masks. One of the headliners of the festival - Deadmau5, often wearing a mouse mask, has inspired many fans to come with oversized homemade mouse head masks. For all days of the festival of aggressive behavior among guests AFP no one was noticed, and people in a state of extreme intoxication could be counted on the fingers - thanks to the organizers for ensuring safety and comfortable conditions for recreation. 
Music at the AFP Festival

Additional music scenes
On the AFP in 2015, more than 120 DJs performed, and in addition to the main one, there were three more additional music stages - Tot Spot, Live & Bass Stage and Mendeleev(organized by the Moscow bar of the same name). You can also mention a very very compact platform Miller, well suited for small interactive events, performances by dance groups and up-and-coming DJs. 
In terms of appearance, the Tot Spot stage made the greatest impression on the guests, reminiscent of the world from the movie "Avatar" with its colors and unusual artificial trees. 
The Mendeleev stage was made entirely of wood, which contrasted greatly with the decoration of other objects with an emphasis on the futuristic concept of the overall design. 
The venues Tot Spot and Mendeleev were given into the hands of Russian DJs - club music triumphed on them with a clear predominance house and deep house. Subjectively, Tot Spot was more interesting musically. Even more pleased Live&Bass Stage with a wonderful springy dance floor, where you could see unusual and very incendiary performances of world stars. For example, the command Infected Mushrooms(pictured), performed simply brilliantly and brought almost the entire large crowd.

This is what the organizers of the festival really impressed not only the guests, but also foreign observers, because this is the main stage. Even from afar, the splendor of her creations struck with its forms, perfection of design and gigantic size. 
At some distance opposite the head of the android was located big bright screen, which was broadcast from numerous cameras. The main stage was literally amazing in everything: appearance and night silhouettes, lighting, lasers, pyrotechnics and powerful sound. 
The huge construction of the main stage consisted of an android's head in the company of two beautiful ladies on either side. Auxiliary professional lighting equipment Prolyte with multi-colored LED spotlights also added light. 
There was a performing DJ in the mouth of the robot. After the next performance, the android closed its mouth, as if absorbing the current musician, but soon a new one appeared to replace it. The performances of each DJ were accompanied by their own video sequence on the screens, selected colors and special effects. In the evening, the main stage of the festival shimmered with all the colors of the rainbow; coupled with spotlights, laser streaks and fire volleys, it created really amazing and varied pictures and moods. 
And if you add dancing luminous robots, go-go girls and your favorite music to this, then you won’t want to leave at all. At the end of the second day of the festival, this already epic scene was decorated with wonderful fireworks. 
Music on the AFP main stage
The music of the festival consisted of a number of electronic genres - trance, house, drum & bass, dubstep, etc. Among the first to test the main DJ-console of the festival was the Russian DJ Feel, host of the "Transmission" program on Radio Record (pictured).
In general, one could hear interesting music at the festival, less often it sounded on the main stage. According to the main mood in the UK, electronic music is often informally divided into Up and Down. The Up direction is characterized by positive melodies, high-quality vocals and creative rhythms. Down (down) implies the opposite of Up - flat aggressive / destructive beats, sparse simple melodies, non-melodic vocals and 
more industrial sounds. In general, the main stage of the festival, unfortunately, was dominated by rather uncomplicated Down-direction music, sometimes also accompanied by harsh vocal accompaniment by MC. Particularly "pleased" with this Borgore, generously saturating his performance with an English-language obscenity, and not even embarrassed to swear once in Russian. Still, according to the experience of foreign Open Air festivals, Down-direction music should not be present on the main stage in such quantity, but remain the prerogative of alternative venues. Particularly sophisticated music lovers had to move a lot from stage to stage to search for "musical" music, since there was an alternative choice.

The largest festival of electronic music and modern technologies comes to Russia in summer. In 2018, this will happen for the fifth time. The organizer in 2014 was Alfa-Bank, which, earlier than others, made a bet on the driving force of the 21st century ─ technological and mobile millennials. For the first time, an event agency was hired to organize the festival, but already in 2015, its creation was entrusted to a separate team.
Place
Alfa Future People immediately acquired a playground, and now every year in the summer it literally grows from scratch - on the territory of an abandoned airfield in the village of Bolshoe Kozino on the banks of the Volga (Nizhny Novgorod Region). With transport accessibility, everything turned out well - at the disposal of those who want to get on the AFP and planes, and trains (including high-speed "Swallows" and "Swifts"), and cars.
Bolshoye Kozino is located 25 km from Nizhny Novgorod, which we discovered from a new perspective after the World Cup in Russia. Trains from Nizhny Novgorod go to Bolshoy Kozino in 35 minutes. Those who take commuter trains, which during AFP bear the names of the headliners, enjoy tracks from the festival's artists during their trips.
For 4 years, the festival was visited by 170,000 guests from 20 countries of the world - this is more than the population of Brussels.
In the first year, the space of the festival was built up mainly with the help of Alfa-Bank's resources, but investments fought back, and the festival gradually turned into an independent structure.
Every year the team tries to improve the content content. So, in 2018, for the first time, a summer cinema, an amusement park and a full-fledged art zone will appear here, curated by the popular street artist, calligrapher Pokras Lampas.
Infrastructure

For the first time, AFP guests were so unlucky with the weather - it was not only wet, but also cold (the average daily temperature was 12-14 degrees).
Raincoats, raincoats, rubber boots - everything was used, and, they say, it was even fun. The fight against the vagaries of the weather cost the organizers a lot of strength and nerves, and this year they did not want to take risks - the dates of the festival were shifted by a month, so that the atmosphere would certainly be hot.

AFP has two categories of tickets. A standard ticket (in 2014 the organizers started from 2,000 rubles, in the anniversary 2018 prices start from 6,500 rubles) is a pass to the festival, an unlimited number of entrances and exits from the territory, a visit to all areas except VIP. To enter the territory, you will need to register a vehicle (category A / B), which is paid separately. A standard ticket implies that you will spend the night outside the festival site (for example, in an apartment in the village of Bolshoe Kozino itself, which is actively rented out at the time of AFP, or in a hotel in Nizhny Novgorod) or in a car. The VIP ticket category implies a similar set of services, but with an upgrade in the form of pleasant bonuses (a separate entrance to the festival, a separate dance area with an improved view of the stage, a separate lounge tent with a special menu).
For those who want to spend not only days but also nights at the festival, it is better to take a ticket with camping. Campsites for three - "Alpha", "Beta" and "Gamma". Camping gives the right to set up a tent with a capacity of no more than 4 four people, where you can spend the night. Camping "Alpha" is located in close proximity to the festival, "Beta" ─ 100 meters from the entrance to the festival, "Gamma" ─ 300 meters. Camping "Caravan" means that you do not need to bring your tent - the campsite will already have a tent, equipped with an air mattress, pillows and blankets. Music
At first, Alfa Future People was perceived as a narrow-profile electronic music festival, and this was explained by the line-up ─ the poster of the event, which consisted of EDM musicians (from the English EDM - Electronic Dance Music, i.e. electronic dance music). On the other hand, if we remember that Zemfira took part in the first AFP, everything becomes not so clear.
Over the years, AFP has expanded the boundaries of the genre, and in 2017, in addition to the two main stages, the festival featured live and techno scenes, the composition of which surprised even connoisseurs of underground music.
Over 4 years of existence of Alfa Future People, more than 400 artists performed at the festival, most of which are included in the international TOP-100 Dj Mag rating (an authoritative music publication).
For example, for the first time in a long time, the American musician Moodyman performed in Russia. He was accompanied by GusGus, Kito Jempere, Boris Brejcha and other artists.
The first round date obliges: in 2018 the organizers promise to exceed all expectations. Over 100 DJs await AFP attendees, with Tiesto, Steve Aoki, Alesso and Afrojack headlining the anniversary festival – do they need to be introduced? They will be accompanied by Aly&Fila, Aphrodite, DVBBS, Gareth Emery, Going Deeper, KSHMR, Swanky Tunes, Vini Vici, Yellow Claw.
Fans of heavy types of electronic music will be waiting for the bass stage, where representatives of such styles as hardstyle, drum and bass and even shoegaze (including Flaz Pavilion, Fonarev, Viktor Stroganov, Dolphin) will play sets.
Alfa Future People continues to explore the techno genre. For the second year, the festival will feature a special Miller Future Music stage, where more than 30 artists will perform, divided into two schools: French and German. If the Russian festivals "Invasion" or "Kubana" can be compared in scale with Alfa Future People, then AFP in Russia today, perhaps, has no analogues in essence. More than 100 gadgets will be presented in four tents over three days. Among them are a mobile pressure chamber, a futuristic suitcase scooter, augmented reality glasses for cyclists, a personal trainer of the future, and a “high-tech store” where you can buy goods for information.
Gamers also come off on AFP: a large entertainment area is occupied by the PlayStation. Visitors to the festival-2018 will have an exclusive opportunity: they will be among the first in the world to evaluate the game "Spider-Man" ─ a new chapter in the adventures of the well-known superhero. Football will not be forgotten either – the organizers dedicated a separate area to FIFA 18.
When going to the festival, it will not be superfluous to take a block for recharging with you. There are enough lockers with chargers for mobile devices on the territory, but there are many times more people who want to recharge their gadgets (unlike the power of generators).
