State University "Zhytomyr Polytechnic" is a higher educational institution of state ownership of the IV level of accreditation.

The educational process at the university is carried out by 372 scientific and pedagogical employees (of which 339 are full-time), including: 52 doctors of sciences, professors and 172 candidates of sciences, associate professors.
State University "Zhytomyr Polytechnic" has everything necessary for the education of students and their comprehensive development: modern laboratories, computer classes, cozy dormitories, a library and reading rooms, sports complex, student center for creative work and leisure, sanatorium, recreation center. On the territory of the State University “Zhytomyr Polytechnic” there are 11 sports facilities, including a stadium with artificial turf and a tennis court. The university has a sports and recreation camp located outside the city. The State University “Zhytomyr Polytechnic” has a medical center, a cafeteria and a canteen with 220 seats.
The university has a scientific library, provides literature, periodicals and information for the educational process and scientific research. The cost of training at the preparatory department for foreign citizens is $1,100 per year.
The cost of full-time education in all specialties is $1,700 per year.
Students are provided with a dormitory for accommodation. The cost of living in a hostel ranges from $25 to $50 per month and depends on the living conditions.
Duration of training:

Zhytomyr State Technological University is the only civil educational institution of engineering and technological profile with the highest, IV, level of accreditation in Zhitomir.
Training of specialists is carried out in 17 licensed specialties, of which 17 (100%) are accredited at level III, 13 (76.5%) are accredited at level IV.
In addition, the Zhytomyr State Technological University provides retraining of specialists in 3 areas (4 specialties), advanced training in accredited areas (specialties), training of foreign citizens in accredited areas (specialties) and preparation for admission to higher educational institutions for citizens of Ukraine.
Zhytomyr State Technological University trains bachelors, specialists (engineers, economists, managers) and masters from all regions of Ukraine and the CIS countries.
Zhytomyr State Technological University has created 5 educational, research and production complexes and 7 educational complexes with colleges, technical schools, enterprises and organizations of Zhytomyr and other regions of Ukraine to train highly qualified specialists according to integrated curricula.
About 400 full-time students and about 2,000 part-time students are studying at the Zhytomyr State Technological University for a shortened period of study. For the first time in Russian history, a model of integrating a higher vocational school into a university is being tested.
Ensuring the educational process at Zhytomyr State Technological University
Students are trained by qualified teaching staff from 24 departments. The departments are headed by 16 professors, doctors of science and 9 associate professors, candidates of science. This organizational structure is logical, balanced and aimed at optimally ensuring the educational process. Of the 372 faculty members of the university, 84.4% work on a permanent basis.
Among the teaching staff of Zhytomyr State Technological University, 56.7% have academic degrees and scientific titles, of which 42 people are doctors of science, professors and 169 people are candidates of science, associate professors. Of the 372 teaching staff, 72.3% have not reached retirement age.
Considerable attention is paid to the training of highly qualified scientific and pedagogical personnel through postgraduate studies. Currently, scientific personnel are trained in 13 scientific specialties. Every year, by state order, as well as on a contractual basis, admission to graduate school is carried out for full-time and part-time study.

The housing needs of students are met by 3 dormitories with a total area of 16,692 m2 and a living area of 14,206 m2. Dormitories with 1,469 beds make it possible to provide housing for 77% of students in need of accommodation. Zhytomyr State Technological University has a scientific library. The library fund of Zhytomyr State Technological University is constantly growing and updated. More than half of the book fund, mainly new arrivals, is literature in the Ukrainian language.
