Taxi
A long line of taxis will be waiting for you right outside the airport. Which yellow car you will get will be determined by the airport employee supervising traffic. Bus
Opposite each terminal there is a parking lot for the Aerobus A1 express bus, which connects the airport and the city center (Pl. Catalunya) every 12 minutes. Buses run from 6:10 to 1:05. The ticket will cost 5.90 EUR. Like the train, the bus makes three stops: Plaça Espanya, Gran Via/Urgell, Plaça Universitat. If you are unlucky and arrive at night, do not despair: you can get to Plaza España by bus number 17, which departs from the airport every hour.
Train
By train or commuter train RENFE you can get to the city quickly and cheaply. The train departs from the platform at the airport every 30 minutes from 6 am to 12 midnight. You can buy a ticket here at the box office or in special machines for 4.60 EUR, avoiding the queue. The trip will last approximately 25 minutes. The train makes three stops: Barcelona Sants, Passeig de Gracia and Clot. Almost all metro lines and bus routes originate from here. Remember that there is no direct access from Terminal 1 to the platform; you will need to take a short ride on the free bus. Prices on the page are as of August 2019.
Transfer
The fastest and most comfortable option to get there. You need to select a car of a suitable class and capacity in advance, and the driver will meet you at the airport with a name plate. The price indicated at the time of booking will be fixed: for example, traffic jams will not affect it.

Metro L9
This the option is very convenient, because it allows you to get to the city without leaving the airport building. And you can get to any point in the city using just one type of transport.

Unlike other Barcelona metro lines, this metro line has a special tariff. The El Prat airport complex is quite compact in size, although it receives a huge number of passengers.
It consists of only two modern terminals: T2 and T1.
The complex was built in 1916, and in 1992 it was modernized for the Olympic Games, adding buildings A and C to T2.
The terminals are located just 4 kilometers from each other and are connected by a free shuttle bus route lasting 7 minutes.

How to get there
Transport connections between the airport and the city are ideal, despite the very short distance. Any traveler can choose a convenient way to get to the airport.
El Prat Airport on the map:
Metro
Until 2016, it was not possible to travel from the city to the airport. Now this problem has been solved and travel time on the L9 metro line will take only a quarter of an hour. Payment in the amount of 4.6 EUR is made by T-10 card or regular transport ticket.
Attention! To get to the airport from Plaza Catalunya and Plaza de España you will have to make transfers.
By taxi
Next to T1 and T2 there is a parking lot with dozens of taxis. Boarding is controlled by an airport employee. The cost of the trip is on average 25-30 EUR (calculated by meter), taking into account the number of seats and luggage. Travel time is half an hour.
If you wish, you can also order a taxi via the Internet. 
By train
During the day, Renfe trains run from the city's train station every half hour.
A ticket costs 4.50 EUR and can be purchased at the box office or from special orange machines. You must specify the “Airport” station and the device will print the ticket. Travel time is about half an hour with three stops.
Attention! It is not possible to go directly to the platform from T1. The passenger will have to use the services of a free bus.
By bus
The most common city bus number 46 runs from the airport towards the city. A ticket for 2.20 EUR is paid with a T10 card.
Additionally, a special Aerobus transfer departs every 12 minutes. A ride there costs 5.90 EUR. The final station of the route is Plaza Catalunya.
Both buses operate exclusively during the day from 6:10 to 1:05.
If you wish, you can get to the airport terminal by public transport even at night. For these purposes, bus route No. 17 (for T1) and No. 16 (for T2) is intended.
The movement starts at 21:55, every 15-20 minutes and continues until 4:45 in the morning. Ticket price 2.20 EUR.
From other cities in Spain you can also get to El Prat using intercity buses. 
By transfer
To quickly and comfortably get to the city center, you can order a transfer in advance.
It is necessary to reserve a suitable vehicle in advance. The driver will meet the passenger at the airport with a name plate. The rental price is fixed; no circumstances along the way will change it.
By rental car
You can also go to the city from the airport by renting a car in one of the
popular companies: Avis, Hertz, etc. Parking lots with vehicles are located directly opposite the terminals.
If the car is booked in advance, customers are provided with significant discounts. Therefore, it is recommended to order a car online.
Parking spaces at the airport
You can leave your personal car at the airport. For the convenience of passengers, there are three parking lots:
- Outdoor parking for 11,900 cars.
- Terminal T1 has a separate covered parking lot on 9 floors with 12,000 parking spaces.
- There is a parking lot two kilometers from the terminals where you can leave your car for a long time. You can get there by free shuttle bus. Prices here are quite low.
A parking space can be reserved online in advance.
Parking services are paid using payment machines, which can be found in the T2 terminal in the amount of 21. The machines accept bank cards for payment.
