Wasteland Guardian

In November 2006, Lynn Hickox discovered on Google Maps a geological formation located in the Canadian province of Alberta, resembling an Indian head with an earpiece in his ear. Such an image appeared as a result of prolonged soil erosion, and the wire from the earphone and the ear - the road leading to the oil rig, and the rig itself.

"Murder scene" on the lake in Almere, the Netherlands

A satellite image taken in 2009 in the Netherlands was discovered by one of the users of the Reddit website. The scene seemed like a murder, and there was a heated discussion on the site about what it really was.

However, no bloody crime was recorded in this picture. Almere resident Jacqueline Kenen identified the brutal "killer" as her golden retriever, who she says loves to swim. And what was taken for traces of blood is actually just water that has been glassed from the dog's fur.

Building in the shape of a swastika

The swastika-shaped building belongs to the US Navy and was spotted by Google users in 2006. The command of the Navy said that the similarity with this figure was discovered only at the construction stage, when nothing could be changed.

In 2007 $600,000 was allocated to change the landscape and install solar panels so that they hide the shape of the building. As of 2017, thanks to solar panels, the building no longer resembles a Nazi symbol.

UFO in Romania

An object that looks like a UFO from science fiction films has been found on an abandoned farm near the Romanian city of Timisoara. Desert breath

Strange circles in the Sahara Desert were created in 1997 by the hands of people who are members of the creative association D.A.S.T. The sculpture was made of two spirals emanating from the center, one of which was created from cones expanding as they moved away from the beginning, and the second from recesses built according to the same principle.

According to the creators, the spiral should disappear over time under the influence of erosion. However, even now, 20 years later, it is perfectly visible even from space.

Strange Creature from Loch Ness

Jason Cook, 25, was looking at satellite images of Loch Ness when he spotted a creature swimming in its waters. And although there is no reliable evidence of the existence of the famous monster, many believed that it was the Google satellite that captured it.

On Google Earth maps off the coast of Deception Island near Antarctica, they saw something resembling either a giant squid, or a pliosaurus, or even a UFO. Experts are at a loss as to what it really is.

The discovery was made by Scott Waring on April 9, 2016, when he studied the area with coordinates 63° 2"56.73"S60°57"32.38"W on Google Earth. It is not clear where he got the coordinates from, but it was at this site that he noticed an object around which ocean water was seething, according to The Daily Mail.
“Very similar to the kraken,” the discoverer noted, adding that the length of the creature can reach 120 m from the head to the tips of the tentacles. “I measured it. The length of what looks out on the surface is approximately 30 m, but what is hidden under water can exceed 60 m along with tentacles, ”he explained. Waring also did not rule out that he had found a pliosaurus, an extinct prehistoric animal.

Another Hotspot conspiracy expert theorized that the creature found looks like an artificial object, such as an underwater UFO emerging from the abyss of the ocean.
According to Scandinavian folklore, krakens lived in the seas from Norway to Iceland and all the way to Greenland. The mythical squid, hiding in the depths, sank the entire ships, enveloping them with its tentacles, and that is why the facts about its real existence did not happen to be preserved. The story of the kraken dates back to 1180 - to the king of Norway, Sverrir Sigurdsson, and the first detailed summary of marine folklore about the sea monster was compiled by the Danish naturalist Eric Pontoppidan, Bishop of Bergen (1698-1774). He wrote that the kraken is an animal "the size of a floating island."
Whether it's a kraken or a pliosaurus or a UFO or maybe even a giant whale, whatever lurks in the dark arctic waters makes them churn and froth.
Another mysterious inhabitant of the depths was spotted last week and brought some fresh rumors and theories to supporters of the existence of the Loch Ness Monster. Tourist Tony Bligh filmed the video at the popular A82 Wellington Lay-By Allt Cumhang Wall tourist site overlooking Loch Ness. The video captured mysterious humps rising from the water. The locals deny their belonging to Nessie, claiming that it is just an optical illusion caused by the waves left by a boat passing there.

Incredible Facts

However, as stated Paul Clark(Paul Clark), expert from Museum of Natural History in London, this the photo is nothing more than a hoax.

The biggest crabs

He makes the following arguments:

1. The biggest crab in the world counts japanese spider crab (macrocheira kaempferi), which can grow to the size of a small car.

With a leg span, it can reach 4 meters. However, these crabs live in deep, cold waters near Japan and have a completely different shape.

2. Another crab whose shape is similar to the one shown in the picture is giant tasmanian crab (Pseudocarcinus gigas). These are the heaviest crabs in the world and live in the southern waters of Australia at a depth of 20-820 meters.

3. Also, this crab does not belong to the representatives of the species pocket crab (Cancer pagurus) which has a slightly different shape, and it grows up to 30 cm.

4. The crab is most similar to the representative grass crab (Carcinus maenas), which was placed on a satellite image using Photoshop. These crabs grow up to only 5 cm.

5. Also, several users pointed out that the picture of the harbor was taken from Bing Maps where there is no crab.

Ufologists from the MexicoGeek project, using Google Earth, discovered spider the size of a bus. The insect was found on one of the unknown islands and at that moment was basking in the sun.

Famous ufologist Scott Warring, thanks to whom the video with a huge spider spread, says that this shooting is just new evidence of how little science knows about the extra-large species of insects living on ocean shores. He warns that perhaps the next time you go out fishing, anyone can become a spider dinner and you should be extremely careful.

There are also suspicions that it may be a giant crab and not a spider.

But many in the world doubt the authenticity of this video. Usually, when ufologists post something like this, they indicate the coordinates of Google Maps or Google Earth of the places shown in the photo or video. All this is done so that those who doubt can check it on their own, that is, the coordinates indicate reliability.

In this case, there is no data on the coordinates and it is impossible to say for sure whether the spider is real or whether it is someone's falsification, because it is not even known at what point in the world ufologists found this huge insect.
