The resulting vacuum is being filled by private companies that set ambitious goals on the scale of the entire earthly civilization: bases on the Moon, colonization of Mars, mining of mineral resources in space, flights to the stars, Nedoroslev continues. And they have the money to carry them out.

The project to launch carrier rockets from Sea Launch can be commercially successful, the businessman believes. But there are risks, as in any business. The new Soyuz-5 rocket for the project is being developed by RSC Energia; at the conference, the delivery period was stated to be five years and the price was fixed. But the product is complex, the cooperation is huge, and there are risks of both missing the deadline and not meeting the stated price.
