For a good and complete holiday, sometimes just the beach and sun are not enough, but fortunately you can find other entertainment in Nha Trang. Especially the beach holiday option can be well diversified on cloudy days. Yes, this happens too.

Walk around the local attractions of Nha Trang

The walk will go well if you choose a non-sunny day for it. Walking in the scorching heat is not the best option. Walk around the city, look into shops, take photos among local attractions (Catholic Cathedral, etc.). Such simple entertainment will not only open up new interesting places for you in Nha Trang, but will also surprise you with its local flavor. And most importantly, you don’t need to spend extra money on excursions - you can do everything yourself.

Vinpearl - an island of entertainment in Nha Trang

From the shore there is a beautiful view of Vinpearl Island. Letters in the “Hollywood” style, whitening on the hill, beckon tourists to their shores. This is one of the most popular entertainment in Nha Trang. The journey to the island begins with the longest cable car over the sea in the world, a whopping 3,300 meters long, and at an altitude of 70 meters. The columns supporting the funicular are shaped like the Eiffel Towers and are beautifully illuminated at night. On the island you will find a water park, an aquarium, a gaming complex, restaurants, shops, a beach, an amphitheater with musical fountains and much more. Such exciting entertainment awaits you on the island, all you have to do is take the funicular in Nha Trang.

Excursions in Nha Trang

There are a lot of travel agencies in Nha Trang that can offer interesting excursions. Sunbathe on the heavenly beaches outside the city, visit the island of monkeys or orchids, go and see the mountainous city of Dalat or ride elephants in Dak Lak province, snorkel near the Southern Islands of Nha Trang and so on. With travel agencies you can travel all over Vietnam from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi. Here is such a simple way to find your favorite “entertainment in Nha Trang”. The main thing is to pay.

Mud and mineral springs in Nha Trang

Mud and mineral springs are the healthiest entertainment in Nha Trang. There are three large complexes here where you can pamper yourself and your body with therapeutic mud baths and mineral water pools. Your choice (and it’s better to visit each one at least once) are mud springs, 100 Eggs and I-Resort.

Spa and massage in Nha Trang

Another healthy entertainment in Nha Trang. A massage parlor can now be found on almost every corner of the city. Almost every hotel has a spa complex on its territory. Massage for the blind is very popular here. However, such fame is a bad joke, since there are already about 20 such salons in the city, and some enterprising Vietnamese are trying to profit from the popular sign.

Cafes and restaurants in Nha Trang

The city has a huge number of bars, cafes and restaurants. It is interesting to look into local cafes, the Vietnamese themselves. You won’t find a menu in English, much less in Russian, but you will be able to taste purely Vietnamese cuisine. Vietnamese cuisine can be a real treat in Nha Trang, due to the fact that in some places you will cook your own food. The first option is to order Hot Pot soup, and the second is to go to a cafe (for example, Grill Garden or Aurora), where you will grill your food right at the table.

You can easily find restaurants entirely dedicated to this theme on the first coastline of Nha Trang. There is everything here: from oysters to lobsters!

You should definitely visit at least one of the hotel rooftop bars to enjoy the gorgeous views of Nha Trang. It’s better to get around everything, especially since you’ll definitely want to come back. The most popular observation decks with delicious cocktails and dance music are

This is a fairly small and modest overview of entertainment in Nha Trang, there is much more, but be sure to try this minimum, and perhaps in the process you will find other interesting entertainment to suit your taste.

In this article we will look at what to see in Nha Trang, excursions in Nha Trang, as well as attractions where tourists can get on their own.

Nha Trang has long earned love and recognition among hundreds of thousands of tourists for its “versatility”.

There is something here to suit lovers of beaches, sea and entertainment, for connoisseurs of Vietnamese culture and originality, and, of course, for exotic and thrill-seekers.

We present to your attention a list of all the main attractions and interesting places that Nha Trang is famous for.

Excursions in Nha Trang: Yangbay Park and crocodile farm

What to see in Nha Trang with children? The picturesque landscapes of this park attract attention; a camera should always be at hand.

Visitors will encounter exotic animals: crocodiles, Malayan bears, ostriches, squirrels, lemurs, various reptiles and tropical birds.

Here you can not only enjoy the magnificent scenery, but also swim in the waters of the waterfall and visit mineral and mud springs.

The entrance ticket costs about 10 USD (mineral springs included) or 7.5 USD (without mineral springs), lunch in the park ranges from 5 to 20 USD (depending on your appetite).

You can get to the park by taxi - about 40 minutes drive from the center of Nha Trang.

Video from Yangbei Park

The second option is to go on your own for at least 3 days. Then you will have at least some extra time to figure out all the routes to the sights on your own. Without the accompaniment of an experienced person, sometimes this can be difficult.

Video Dalat

Swallow Island

A protected island, visits to which are approved by the provincial Department of Nature Conservation.

It is unlikely that you will be able to get here on your own. On the island you can spend a pleasant time enjoying the scenery and the beautiful beach, snorkeling and leisurely exploring the surroundings.

Trips are only available from April to September.

Ersin Museum

What to see in Nha Trang on your own? The museum dedicated to the famous scientist is located at Nha Trang, 10 Tran Phu.

In addition to many discoveries in the field of virology and microbiology, he was the first to insist on the cultivation of cinchona and rubber trees in Vietnam. In addition, it was he who was the founder of the first hospital in Nha Trang, and also established a medical institute named after his famous teacher, Louis Pasteur.

Oceanographic Museum

What to see in Nha Trang on your own? Established in 1922, this museum has already collected more than 60 thousand exhibits in its collection.

Here you can not only admire the huge aquarium, but also see the skeleton of a whale and visit the research center.

You can get to the museum by bus No. 4 - the stop is a stone's throw from the Southern Port, near which the museum building is located.

The entrance ticket costs about 2 USD.

Phu Yen Province

The territory in the south of Vietnam, stretching along the South China coast, offers its guests to enjoy untouched exotic nature and a series of luxurious beaches stretching for 100 km.

Tourism is just beginning to develop here, so Phu Yen province is ideal for independent travelers and connoisseurs of beautiful landscapes untouched by civilization.

In addition to the beaches, there are ancient monuments - heritage temples of the Champa Kingdom, a French lighthouse, ancient observation towers on the tops of high hills and much more. Phu Yen Province will also be of interest to those who want to learn more about the authentic culture of Vietnam.

PagodaTu Van

This Buddhist complex is located near the city of Cam Ranh - south of Nha Trang. Its main attraction is a temple made entirely of coral and shells.

This is a very impressive sight: how long did it take the creators of this structure to collect material and perform such painstaking work?

On the walls you can clearly see how carefully pieces of coral and various shells were laid out, forming intricate patterns and ornaments.

Another interesting object of the complex is the Dragon Labyrinth, which is also called the “12 circles of hell”.

A long tunnel without lighting leads its guests through narrow passages and manholes, where it is not always possible to stand upright.

At some point, it begins to seem that the corridor is endless, but with the right level of endurance and patience, travelers will see a way out of the maze.

It looks like the mouth of a dragon, from where you can “slide” along the tongue between the long fangs. This labyrinth symbolizes the path to purification, victory over oneself.

Entrance to the complex is free, but at the exit the monk will ask you to leave a donation, the amount of which you determine yourself.

The easiest way to get to the pagoda is by taxi or motorbike, moving south beyond Nha Trang airport.

Snake show

What exotic things to see in Nha Trang? The event is reminiscent of the famous show in Thailand, and tour operators often offer something similar as a bonus for purchasing a tour. In fact, the performance that the tour operator offers to watch has nothing in common with the real ritual of sacrificing a live cobra.

The authentic spectacle involves playing with a snake in public (first of all, in order to demonstrate that the snake is alive and real), and then killing it and removing the heart and gall bladder.

The first is offered to a man as a symbol of strength and power, and the second to a woman, as a source of beauty and youth. The blood is drained and diluted with rice vodka, which of course must be drunk, and the snake itself is sent to the kitchen to prepare 6 full meals from it.

Mui Ne and Phan Thiet

Mui Ne and Phan Thiet attract lovers of beach holidays and various sports: kite surfing, wind surfing, etc. In fact, these are small villages with a poorly developed tourist infrastructure. But in contrast to this, they have a special peaceful atmosphere of a Vietnamese coastal village.

The windy season here begins in November and lasts until about March, after which the beaches are empty in anticipation of the new sports season.

This resort is located approximately halfway from Nha Trang to Saigon, and is conveniently accessible by the same slipper bus.

Hanoi and Halong

Travel from Nha Trang to Hanoi and Halong true travel lovers dare. This is the real historical and cultural center of Vietnam, which will not leave any traveler indifferent.

Getting there by ground transport is not very convenient, and it takes an unreasonably long time.

If you come to Nha Trang for only 10-14 days, then it is worth going to Hanoi by plane. You should devote at least one day to walking around the capital of Vietnam, and then go on a tour of the famous Ha Long Bay.

It is located about 3-4 hours drive from Hanoi; it is more convenient to buy a tour directly in the city than to get there on your own.

On Ha Long, ideally, you should set aside a couple of days to slowly take a boat through the most beautiful places and explore at least a few caves, each of which deserves special attention.

Diving in Nha Trang

The many dive centers that can be found literally at every step of the central quarter indicate that diving is very well developed in Nha Trang.

The waters of Moon Island daily reveal their beauty to lovers of the underwater world. The diving conditions here are good,

especially in the summer: calm, transparent sea, absence of strong currents or dangerous marine life and amazing underwater scenes.

Both beginners and experienced divers will enjoy diving here. Everyone will find something interesting for themselves.

Hotel complex Rusalka

What strange things can you see in Nha Trang? Rusalka is a luxury hotel complex built on one of the most beautiful beaches in the north of Nha Trang.

But the work was not destined to be completed: the owner of the complex was caught committing fraud, after which construction was frozen.

Now the abandoned area is covered with lush vegetation, and instead of guests you can only find a lone fisherman.

The area of the complex is truly impressive; it will be interesting to wander around and examine various objects left unattended.

You can get here by motorbike or taxi, and you can also see it on the way to the Northern Port of Nha Trang - from a distance it also looks quite picturesque.

Even, always unexpected and quite lengthy, will not frighten a traveler who has previously been to this wonderful country. It's not only warm and cozy here; all corners of the state are full of attractions, and the most interesting of them are concentrated in Nha Trang. What to see first in the city and how much you will need to pay for it - let's try to figure it out.

The best way to start exploring Nha Trang, one of the largest cities in Vietnam, is to visit the Cathedral of the Blessed Virgin Mary, which belongs to the Roman Catholic Church. Built in the first third of the last century, it is made in the Gothic style familiar to Europeans, more French than Spanish or German. The building is decorated with a tall belfry topped with a stone cross; it contains a dial and a row of traditional small windows.

The history of the construction of the cathedral is interesting: in order to put it on an elevated place, the Bishop of Nha Trang, Louis Vale, who ruled here in the 1920s, ordered the top of the mountain to be demolished. The work took more than half a thousand mines; The flat area on which the temple now stands has an area of about 0.45 square kilometers.

The height of the cathedral, where the residence of the ruling bishop is now located, is almost 40 meters. Its windows are decorated with huge stained glass windows made of real colored glass, completely transparent and filling the building with bright light. Three large bells, cast from pure copper by local craftsmen, were installed on the tower two years later. Work on the chimes was completed in 1935; Over the remaining years, the church was overgrown with extensions, and now it is one of the most magnificent Catholic complexes in Southeast Asia.

Walking along the facade, a traveler can pay attention to the perfectly even, almost artistic laying of bricks: they fit together so well that even from a few meters they seem completely solid. You cannot ignore the beautiful porticoes and high windows made in the shape of traditional lilies.

Cathedral - how to get there and how much to pay:

  • address: Ave Maria Square;
  • travel: by buses No. 1, No. 2, No. 3, No. 4, taxi, car, motorcycle or scooter;
  • visiting hours: daily from 05:00 to 20:00;

The central city park of Nha Trang, due to its focus on Russian-speaking tourists, bears the semi-official name “Gorky Park”, is located within walking distance from the Cathedral of the Blessed Virgin Mary; you can relax here any day of the week and almost around the clock - the park closes only for a few hours before dawn.

This is the most popular place among travelers who come to Nha Trang in search of entertainment and relaxation; The reason for this is the magnificent beaches with perfectly clean sand, luxurious vegetation, exciting attractions and simply a soulful atmosphere. Central Park is truly cozy - and that is why travelers return here year after year.

There are relatively inexpensive hotels near the park; by settling in one of them, a tourist will have within walking distance not only beaches and attractions, but also swimming pools suitable for safe swimming during high tides, spa and massage parlors and, of course, bars, cafes, restaurants and nightclubs.

Particular attention should be paid to Dream Beach; entrance to it is paid, but it is inexpensive: depending on the recreation area - 30 thousand dong, 60 thousand dong or 100 thousand dong. There are excellent areas for beach sports, outdoor exercise and even rock climbing.

There are also children's playgrounds in Central Park: leaving your child here for a while, you can go on attractions, go to a spa, bar or restaurant - the little visitor is guaranteed not to get bored.

Central Park - how to get there and how much to pay:

  • address: Central Park;
  • travel: by buses No. 2, No. 4 and No. 5, taxi, car, motorcycle or scooter;
  • visiting hours: daily from 07:00 to 24:00;
  • cost of visiting: free.

The Vinpearl amusement park, well known to travelers who have already visited Nha Trang and invariably recommended to newcomers, is certainly interesting, but it can hardly be called a landmark - it does not have a long rich history and is even inferior to the Central Park in terms of the quality of infrastructure. But the longest cable car “Vinpearl”, connecting the city with the island of Hon Tri, is a real masterpiece of engineering.

Each of the giant cable car supports is designed to resemble the Eiffel Tower; in the dark season they are illuminated, creating a festive mood for Vinpearl visitors and illuminating the beautiful surface of the water. The length of the path is almost 3.5 kilometers; it is the longest operating cable car in the world.

Before the construction of the structure, it was possible to get to the main Nha Trang amusement park only by water - by ferry, boats or pleasure boats; This method is available to the traveler even now, but exchanging a few minutes of swimming for an unforgettable experience of a walk under the sky would be a rash step on the part of the tourist.

The cable car to Vinpearl opened in mid-2007; Since then, it has been visited by several million visitors - and their flow has only been growing over the years. The highest point of the structure is 75 meters above sea level, the lowest is only 5 meters. The booths continuously circulate back and forth; each of them accommodates eight people. Travel time is approximately ten minutes.

Within an hour, the cable car transports one and a half thousand people; a large load is unacceptable, and therefore a tourist who finds himself here during rush hour will have to wait a little; however, the emotions received are worth it.

Cable car - how to get there and how much to pay:

  • address: Central Beach;
  • visiting hours: daily from 08:00 to 22:00;
  • Cost of visit: included in the price of a ticket to Vinpearl.

In addition to entertainment centers and ancient attractions, Nha Trang is home to the unique, largest Pasteur Institute in the country, which is engaged in the development and testing of new vaccines. It was founded at the very end of the century before last by the French scientist Alexandre Yersin, to whose life and works the museum located in the institute building is dedicated.

Dr. Yersin is one of Vietnam's most beloved Europeans; It was thanks to him that several serious epidemics were prevented in the country. In addition, Yersin was the first to begin distributing cinchona and rubber trees throughout Vietnam, which are actively used in the manufacture of medicines and products; He is also responsible for the discovery of the causative agent of bubonic plague and the development of the corresponding vaccine.

The Alexandre Yersin Museum is relatively small: three rooms await the visitor, where the professor lived; they are filled with personal items, original handwritten documents, photographs and scientific equipment. The traveler can sit on the chair used by the scientist, look into the microscope and walk along a row of bookcases. To get more information, you need to use the services of a guide or a full-time tour guide - the inscriptions are made mainly in French, and without knowledge of the language it can be boring here.

It is not possible to visit the Pasteur Institute itself (due to the specifics of its activities); but a tourist can stroll through a small cozy park, sit under the palm trees familiar to Vietnam and head to another museum located nearby.

Alexandre Yersin Museum - how to get there and how much to pay:

  • address: Central Beach;
  • travel: by buses No. 4 and No. 5, taxi, car, motorcycle or scooter;
  • visiting hours: daily from 10:00 to 17:00;
  • cost of visiting: 30 thousand dong.

This museum contains all the examples of marine and oceanic flora and fauna of Southeast Asia - from algae and scallops to huge coral clusters and skeletons of long-extinct animals.

The museum is located in a relatively small area, which is compensated by the number of floors; a full tour of all the exhibitions will require spending at least a week, and if a tourist does not have time for long walks through the halls, he can take part in a sightseeing tour that lasts only an hour and a half. Such events are held every day, without weekends or holidays; The cost of a guide's services is from 50 thousand dong.

A separate plus for domestic tourists is the duplication of signs and explanatory signs in Russian; It’s simply impossible to get lost in the museum building, and signs next to each exhibit will explain exactly why this fish is interesting and why that algae ceased to exist. Thus, you can understand the Museum of Oceanography without an accompanying person; Friendly staff will answer questions and tell you what to see here.

The Museum also has corners of wildlife - huge and small aquariums where all kinds of fish swim (from small clowns hiding in anemones to real sharks, giant turtles and stingrays). Moreover, there are telescopes; a traveler more interested in the starry sky can observe the current position of the planets or look at their annual movement in a special showroom.

Museum of Oceanography - how to get there and how much to pay:

  • address: Central Beach;
  • travel: by bus No. 4, taxi, car, motorcycle or scooter;
  • visiting hours: daily from 06:00 to 18:00;

As the traveler can already see, the Central Beach of Nha Trang is the center of cultural life and entertainment in the city. It is interesting in itself - and can rightfully be called another attraction.

It is always lively and at the same time cozy and calm; The beach infrastructure is so well thought out that there is enough space for everyone and for everything - for countless kiosks with hot food, cafes and bars, open-air discos and sports grounds. Surfers and sailing enthusiasts compete on the water; Divers spend their time with interest underwater, and hang gliders spend their time in the air.

The coastline of Nha Trang Central Beach stretches for more than seven kilometers - this is more than most other municipal and even private beaches. Every day it is visited by several tens of thousands of people - local residents and guests of the city; It’s not difficult to meet compatriots here, which means you’ll be able to diversify your pleasant vacation with equally entertaining interactions.

The best time here is from November to February: the sun warms but does not burn, the water temperature is most comfortable for the body, and there is no light breeze from the shore. But the Central Beach of Nha Trang is good at any other time - the municipal authorities do everything so that tourists have pleasant memories of the city along with the desire to return here again and again.

Entrance to the Central Beach is free and 24 hours a day. You can rent a sun lounger for 30 thousand dong; play beach volleyball - for 20 thousand; renting a scooter costs 600 thousand, and paragliding costs 500 thousand. The services of a qualified massage therapist cost about 200 thousand VND per session.

Central beach - how to get there and how much to pay:

  • address: Central Beach;
  • travel: by buses No. 1, No. 2, No. 3, No. 4 and No. 5, taxi, car, motorcycle or scooter;
  • cost of visiting: free.

The beautiful Long Son Pagoda, or Long Son, is a must-see attraction even if the traveler is not staying in Nha Trang. The majestic complex, located at the foot of the mountain, is at the same time a functioning Buddhist temple, a museum of antiquities and a luxurious park, where you can walk for hours from dawn to dusk.

The pagoda was built at the end of the last century by the best architect of the province, Ngo Chi. It was originally called Dang Long Tu - “Slowly Soaring Dragon”. The building, which attracted many tourists, was located on the top of the same mountain; however, as a result of a natural landslide in 1900, it began to gradually move downwards, and the architect decided to move it to the foot. At the same time, the name of the pagoda changed - now it is Long Son, which means “Mountain Dragon”.

The first thing you need to notice when visiting the pagoda is the huge gate painted with flowers; on their arch there is a wheel with eight spokes, traditional for Buddhist religious buildings. From here you can see the central temple of the complex: long multi-colored dragons are installed on its roof.

Behind the gate of the pagoda is a huge statue of the Seated Buddha, carved from white limestone. Its height is about 15 meters; in the “pedestal” there is another functioning temple, constantly open to city residents and travelers.

Just below the Seated Buddha is the Reclining Buddha - another statue that deserves attention. Tourists are attracted by the unusual pose and happy expression of the statue; You can take a photo against its background, and right next to the temple there is an active trade in souvenirs.

Long Son Pagoda - how to get there and how much to pay:

  • address: Thai Nguyen Street;
  • travel: by buses No. 2 and No. 6, taxi, car, motorcycle or scooter;
  • visiting hours: daily from 08:00 to 20:00;
  • cost of visiting: free.

The magnificent Cham Towers, now more commonly called Po Nagar, are a reminder of the culture and history of the ancient Champa kingdom - hence the name. The ruins of buildings stand on Mount Cu Lao - they are clearly visible from anywhere in the city, and from above there is an amazing view of Nha Trang.

According to scientists, the Po Nagar towers were built in the 5th–7th centuries; Previously, in their place there was an ancient sanctuary dedicated to Hindu deities. The Chams themselves practiced Hinduism; this caused a war between them and the Vietnamese tribes, which ultimately led to the destruction of the ancient kingdom and the establishment of the power of the Vietnamese emperors.

In total, the Champa complex has three levels. The first is stone columns, decorated with carvings on mythological themes and incompletely deciphered inscriptions, altars and a staircase leading upward. Before the collapse, there was probably a banquet hall or a royal temple - or both. The second is a flat open-air area for believers preparing for the final ascent. On the third level there are the Po Nagar towers, dedicated to the foremother goddess of the same name.

Now it is impossible to climb up the ancient stairs: it is in disrepair and is closed to tourists. You'll have to use the new one, located further south; the traveler will follow it straight to the South Tower, bypassing the North Tower, but will not lose anything else.

Inside the North Tower there is a tall (about 20 meters) statue of Po Nagar, carved from black granite; at the entrance to the temple there is a small statue of Shiva on a bull, next to which you can take a photo. Several years ago, during a large-scale restoration, a royal treasure was discovered in the North-West Tower, which the guide will certainly tell tourists about.

Po Nagar Towers - how to get there and how much to pay:

  • Address: Tay Na Trang Highway;
  • travel: by bus No. 4, taxi, car, motorcycle or scooter;
  • visiting hours: daily from 08:00 to 19:00;
  • cost of visiting: free.

The history of the Tri Nguyen Aquarium, built in the early 1970s, lacks the drama of Po Nagar, but is no less interesting. The construction of the original building was carried out by fisherman Le Kan - at his own expense and on his own initiative. The location was not chosen by chance: a small bay on the island of Bonnguyen, located a few kilometers from the city center, was a free area at that time, perfectly suitable for constructing a pond.

First, Le Kan made a dam, cutting off the pond from the bay and at the same time dividing it into three unequal containers. The total width of the structure is about 130 meters, the length is more than 160. Gradually, the fisherman, who attracted more and more volunteers to the work, made each semi-natural pool suitable for fish to live in. From the beginning of the 1980s to this day, the following order has been maintained: in the first “aquarium” predatory fish, large and small, are bred; in the second - eaten; in the third - decorative, especially valued by aquarists.

The huge pond was given the appearance of a sunken ship lying on the bottom and abundantly covered with corals. The entrance to the Tri Nguyen Aquarium is a huge bug-eyed fish with its mouth open. Once inside, the traveler can admire rare species of animals, try local delicacies prepared right there, or order dishes to take away; It is also possible to purchase fish for an aquarium, but there will be difficulties in exporting it outside of Vietnam.

A tourist who has nothing against excursions can get to the Aquarium with a group of other travelers; This is the simplest option that allows you to get the most useful information. Another option, suitable for singles, is to rent a motorboat from Vinpearl Beach.

Tri Nguyen Aquarium - how to get there and how much to pay:

  • address: Bon Nguyen Island;
  • travel: by water transport;
  • visiting hours: daily from 10:00 to 18:00;
  • cost of visit: 40 thousand dong.

As already mentioned, the length of the Central Beach coast is more than seven kilometers; the length of Pearl Beach is several times greater - and the views from it are at least no worse. Since the territory is privately owned, the traveler will have to pay a little extra for the pleasure of using it - however, the cost of visiting in terms of Russian money is very insignificant.

The main advantage of Pearl Beach is privacy; on the longest spit you can calmly spend at least the whole day, without fear of attacks from human crowds, sunbathing in the sun, swimming in the water or playing your favorite sports.

Right in the center of the sandy shore, as well as in the immediate vicinity of it, there are huge boulders; around them there are quaint bridges, convenient marinas for owners of yachts and boats, several cafes and bars, and even a lighthouse that illuminates the way for sailors.

The light and music fountain, built right there, deserves special interest. The clear water cascading down is warmed by the Nha Trang sun during the day, and at night it is illuminated by built-in floodlights. Music is turned on every hour (from 19:00 to 01:00); It’s impossible to miss it, but you should definitely listen to it at least once, enjoying the wonderful composition.

The only drawback of Pearl Beach is the impossibility of scuba diving: even at a short distance from the shore, the bottom is very muddy, and the water around is opaque. Swimming here is completely safe, but the traveler will not get the pleasure that diving in the area of the Central Beach or islands has.

Pearl Beach - how to get there and how much to pay:

  • address: on highway AN1;
  • travel: by taxi, car, motorcycle or scooter;
  • visiting hours: around the clock;
  • cost of visiting: 50 thousand dong.

The official name of Nha Trang Bay is Nha Phu; in its depths there is the Vinpearl amusement park. The bay itself is a huge amount of clean water, ideal for swimming, diving and windsurfing, and a clean coastal strip built up with shopping and entertainment centers, shops, restaurants, bungalows and hotels.

The beach of Nha Trang Bay is long, comfortable and more secluded than the Central one; You can find a free place here any day of the year, even when there are holidays and festivals on the coast.

The celebration of the Eastern New Year in Nha Phu is especially noteworthy: during the week, real performances are held here with the participation of local actors and singers. Participation in the celebration will be completely free; festivals, dances and tastings of local dishes take place from morning to night in the open air or in specially equipped buildings.

The number of Russian-speaking tourists here is only slightly inferior to the Central Beach; trade is aimed primarily at travelers from Russia - which means that finding a souvenir or two for yourself, family and friends will not be difficult even for a beginner who has never traveled abroad before.

Nha Trang Bay - how to get there and how much to pay:

  • address: Nha Trang Bay;
  • travel: by buses No. 3 and No. 5, taxi, car, motorcycle or scooter;
  • visiting hours: around the clock;
  • cost of visiting: free.

Sometimes a not very developed infrastructure is more of an advantage than a disadvantage; good proof of this is Bai Dai Beach, located in the western part of the city stretching along the coast. There are almost no cafes, bars or shops here; not meeting both divers and surfers on the beach is unsuitable conditions.

But for a relaxing holiday, Bai Dai is perfect. In the area covered with palm trees and strewn with soft, clean sand, a traveler who is not delighted with crowds will enjoy sunbathing. An undoubted advantage of the beach is the opportunity to take a free sun lounger or use one of the cozy hammocks constantly suspended on nearby palm trees.

Bai Dai, that is, “Long Beach,” stretches for almost 15 kilometers; Moreover, it is quite narrow - it is impossible to get lost here, just walk forward or backward. The reason for the seclusion, strange for such a “tourist” city, is the history of the territory; 15 years ago there was a military base here, entry to which was prohibited for outsiders for obvious reasons.

Over time, the base was moved, and the vacant space was given over to the municipal beach; He has not yet managed to earn the necessary popularity, which gives the tourist the opportunity to take a break from strangers, while at the same time enjoying the beauty of the Vietnamese coast.

The only minor drawback is the large amount of natural debris on the coastal strip: the sea throws branches, pebbles, algae and other objects here that do not pose a danger, but sometimes impede passage.

In Nha Trang, you can not only have fun and see the sights, but also improve your health - in particular, in one of the oldest city mud baths, “100 Eggs”. It is located just ten kilometers from the center of Nha Trang; the total area of the territory is about 0.2 square kilometers.

The most remarkable thing about the mud bath is the architects’ strict adherence to the chicken egg concept. In the park and on the lawns there are huge models of eggs, bathing rooms and baths are made in the same shape. The same applies to the swimming pools located on the territory: some of them are ordinary rectangular containers (exactly like in any hotel); but most are the same tapering ovals that gave the name to the whole place.

In addition to mud baths and pools, the health complex has cafes, restaurants, shops, observation decks and even an open-air petting zoo. Here you can see and pet pets, reptiles and birds that are safe for humans, as well as feed small predators. To enter the zoo you will have to pay a small amount (about 100 Russian rubles) or purchase a comprehensive ticket costing 500 thousand dong.

In the “Healing Shop” near the baths you can buy mud, gels and special clay, which, as the center’s specialists assure, is used to treat any skin disease. Goods are sold with certificates that make their transportation across the border somewhat easier.

A short distance from Nha Trang is the Suoi Do Pagoda - a majestic structure built at the beginning of the century before last. To get to the active Buddhist temple, you will have to walk a couple of kilometers or use a motorcycle: neither cars nor buses can pass along the narrow rocky road. In the future, it is planned to equip a cable car here - but for now these projects of the municipal authorities remain without action.

Having crossed the road and climbed the mountain (fortunately, it is not too high and equipped with comfortable steps), the traveler will be able to appreciate the view of Nha Trang from above: what he saw will remain in his memory for a long time, and the tourist is guaranteed not to regret the time and effort spent.

The temple itself is equipped with several halls - as befits Buddhist sanctuaries, with statues, smoking incense sticks (they are lit here around the clock) and candles. If desired, the traveler can make a small donation to the pagoda fund; Another way to deposit money is to purchase a pigeon here and immediately release it into the wild.

Entrance to the pagoda is free; the visitor only needs to observe the rules of decency and dress appropriately for the occasion: cover his legs and shoulders, and leave his head uncovered. As a last resort, you can buy a cape at the temple gate: it costs about 40 thousand dong.

  • travel: by bus No. 3, taxi, car, motorcycle or scooter;
  • visiting hours: daily from 07:00 to 20:00;

I don’t want to say goodbye to Nha Trang; but since you still have to, it’s better to do it in the same place where the acquaintance began - on the embankment of the Central Beach. The Lotus Tower, officially called the Incense Tower, was erected here - a tall, clearly visible from any point on the embankment and a truly elegant building. First of all, this is an exhibition complex; This is where city events, presentations of books and films, and even discussions of laws that are especially important for the city are regularly held.

You can get into the tower completely free of charge; There is an elevator inside that transports visitors from floor to floor, and tourists who want to take a walk are offered the usual steps. Before the excursion, it is strongly recommended that you familiarize yourself with the schedule of events - something interesting is constantly happening at Lotus, and the traveler will definitely find an event for himself.

Lotus Tower - how to get there and how much to pay:

  • address: Central Beach;
  • travel: by buses No. 3 and No. 4, taxi, car, motorcycle or scooter;
  • visiting hours: daily from 10:00 to 19:00;

Let's sum it up

After getting acquainted with the nature and sights of Nha Trang and taking enough with him, the traveler can return home. Pleasant memories will remain with him - and at the same time, photographs against the backdrop of majestic buildings and beautiful southern nature. You want to come back here again and again - and no one will stop a tourist from once again going to the sunny, hospitable country.

Always warm, perfect for a relaxing and active holiday. Tourists can rent or purchase all the equipment necessary for sports activities right on the shore. The list of attractions given above is far from complete - there are many of them in Nha Trang, and everyone will find the most attractive one for themselves.

Ponagar Towers are the main historical attraction of the city. Once upon a time, most of today's territory of Vietnam was inhabited by the Cham people, who had a highly developed culture, but by the 15th century they were all conquered and almost completely destroyed.

You have the opportunity to touch the ancient culture by visiting a unique complex of towers built from the 7th to 12th centuries, located on the site of an ancient sanctuary. Initially there were eight towers, but at the moment only four have survived, all available for visiting. Before entering the temple, you need to take off your shoes and hat, and cover your shoulders and knees. If you didn’t take a scarf, don’t worry, there is a special collection point on the territory of the complex where you can put on a long robe.

Each of the pyramid towers, built from red unfired clay, has its own meaning and is dedicated to a specific deity. You can easily recognize the main building - the northern tower, dedicated to the Mother Queen, it is the largest and highest (23 meters) and is decorated with a ten-armed stone statue of the goddess Uma.

The service on the territory of the complex is quite European, there are toilets, free drinking water, and in the evenings near the towers there are performances of dancers to the accompaniment of live national music. Here is located observation deck, which offers the same view of the bridges of Nha Trang that tourists often see on postcards.

Entrance fee is only 22,000 VND

2. Long Son Pagoda

Long Son Pagoda is the most visited temple in the province and is also widely known among tourists for its huge snow-white Buddha statue, which can be seen from anywhere in Nha Trang.

Initially, the temple, built in the oriental style, with traditional mosaics and dragons, was located at the top of the mountain, but as a result of a landslide it began to slowly descend the slope, and the monks decided to move it to the foot.

The place on the hill was empty for long and soon a magnificent 24-meter statue of Buddha sitting in the lotus position was erected there.

The pedestal reflects a significant story that happened in the 60s - seven monks, in protest against discrimination against religions, committed an act of self-immolation.

To get to the top you have to overcome 150 stone steps, but the panorama that opens from there is worth it. Know that the passage to the Buddha is absolutely free, and if they pester you, demanding payment, stand firm and do not succumb to the “divorce”.

Near the pagoda you can have a snack at vegetarian cafe where monks dine, and also buy bells, jewelry and cards in souvenir shops.

3. Vinpearl Fun Island

When you first step onto the city promenade of Nha Trang, your attention will immediately be drawn to the island with a huge Hollywood-style inscription - Vinpearl, "Vietnamese Pearl".

This large-scale entertainment complex, where you can safely go in search of bright impressions for both children and adults.

Already the way to the island - and this the world's longest cable car over the sea, listed in the Guinness Book of Records, is unlikely to leave anyone indifferent.

By purchasing an entrance ticket, you will be able to ride all types of attractions in the Amusement Park and Water Park for free throughout the day, watch a movie in a 4-D cinema, go down the mountain on an electric sleigh, enjoy the performance of dolphins and circus monkeys, and attend a show of singing fountains.

You can take a break from such a busy program on the beach with the purest white sand, and refresh yourself in numerous cafes.

Particular attention should be paid to the Oceanarium - on an area of 3400 sq.m. More than 3,000 species of fish are presented, delivered from all over the world. A moving walkway will take you through a tunnel where turtles, stingrays and sharks will swim majestically above you.

The park is open from 8:00 to 21:00 on weekdays, on Saturday-Sunday from 08:00 to 22:00. However, keep in mind that each zone operates in its own mode, which you can find out on the information boards. The ticket price for adults is 600,000 VND, which includes unlimited use of all areas, as well as round-trip travel on the funicular. For those who are afraid of heights, there is a boat, but the ticket is more expensive.

We recommend that you take a card at the entrance. so that you can navigate the whole variety of entertainment and not miss anything interesting. And if you are interested in a beach holiday (the sand there is really gorgeous), arrive early, otherwise there will be no sun loungers left.

4. Catholic Cathedral of St. Maria

Catholic Cathedral of St. Maria is a curious place, if only because at the moment it is residence of the Bishop of Nha Trang. In addition, it is the largest cathedral in the city and one of the most beautiful in Vietnam. Its construction began on the initiative of a French missionary in 1928 and took five years.

It is located near the Nha Trang railway station and the Maximark supermarket, beloved by Russian tourists.

Despite the fact that the building is built from simple concrete blocks in the Gothic style, it looks harmonious due to pointed arches, multi-colored stained glass windows and elegant decorations. Along the stone steps there are statues of saints, near which newlyweds like to arrange photo sessions.

Once upon a time, the entire south of Vietnam was Catholic, and that is why daily services are still so important for parishioners. By the way, masses are read in Vietnamese, which arouses interest among tourists, since it sounds very unusual to the Russian ear. Entrance to the church grounds is free.

5. Moon Island

Mun Island is a national marine reserve and the only WWF-protected ecosystem in Vietnam.

Simultaneously - popular diving spot in Nha Trang.

If you are new to this business, here you can make your first unforgettable dive into the underwater world in the safest possible conditions, but if you are an experienced diver, then exploration at a depth of 32 meters is an excellent chance to get to know deep-sea marine life better.

From May to September, when there are no waves, the water turns a clear turquoise color and you will get close-up views of cuttlefish, seahorses and clownfish.

Recommended places to explore near the island: the Madonna Rock spot is one of the most popular, it consists of two lonely rocks with a cascade of caves in which barracudas are found, the Coral Garden reef is known for hundreds of species of corals, and the Mushroom Reef is famous for octopuses , flying fish and reef sharks.

The path to the famous island takes about 45 minutes by boat and runs through a strait where the most picturesque villages of Vietnamese fishermen are located.

6. Yang Bay Ecological Park

Yang Bay Ecological Park is a beautiful corner of wildlife located in the mountains, at an altitude of 600 meters above sea level.

To get here, you have to travel 45 kilometers through rice fields and lush mountains.

This is another place in Nha Trang that is perfect for a family holiday, so visiting it will be interesting for both children and adults. The huge territory of the park is carefully groomed, a lot of effort has been invested in its improvement - bushes and trees are trimmed, flower beds are buried in bright flowers.

There are many options for an interesting time here: animal lovers will be able to watch bears, extreme sports enthusiasts will be able to feed crocodiles at the crocodile farm, the most adventurous will try their luck and place bets in the pig races, kids will ride horses, the curious will be able to see a performance of a musical group in which everyone plays traditional Vietnamese instrument.

After a walk, it will be pleasant to refresh yourself in the cool water of the Yang Bay Waterfall, and after swimming, you can satisfy your hunger in a cafe that serves exotic dishes from ostrich and crocodile. If you wish, you can buy original products made from the skin of these animals.

You can buy an excursion to Yang Bay Waterfall at any travel agency in Nha Trang, or you can rent a car for several people and go there on your own. If there are, for example, four of you, then the trip will be half the price, since the cost of the excursion is 35 dollars per person, and entrance fees for an independent trip are 120 dong, plus about 50 dollars for renting a car.

7. Monkey Island

The name speaks for itself - monkeys are truly alive and well in this nature reserve, and their number exceeds 1,500 individuals!

The island itself is divided into a landscaped park with beautiful alleys and many thematic sculptures, and into a jungle surrounded by lush vegetation. It is from there that curious monkeys come out to look at the visiting public - there are nursing mothers with babies, noisy restless teenagers, and adult males imposingly strolling. Be carefull - they are all unceremonious and expect to receive a delicacy from the guests! You can buy it in stalls in the park, or bring it with you. The tailed inhabitants of the island especially love bananas, of course, but they also do not disdain popcorn, cookies and chips. If there are no treats, they may steal both the camera and the purse. But in general, if you don’t frighten or be overly familiar, monkeys behave calmly and are not at all aggressive.

Also on the island you can watch a circus performance with monkeys, place bets in dog races and relax on sun loungers on the snow-white sand. We dare to assure - the beach on Monkey Island is really gorgeous!

We worship the four deities of Po Nagar

The Cham Towers of Po Nagar are another popular attraction that you can see in Nha Trang on your own. Of the 8 legendary Po Nagar towers, only 4 have survived to this day, but seeing such a miracle up close is worth a lot. The age of the buildings is very ancient; it is not for nothing that the towers rightfully occupy 1st place in the register of historical relics of Vietnam.

The history of the Principality of Champa goes back to the 7th century. During the heyday of this medieval Cham family, unusual towers dedicated to the Hindu religion were erected.

You can come to the temple complex in any clothes, but you can enter the temple only in the appropriate form: barefoot, with your head uncovered, with your shoulders and knees covered. But don’t worry about your appearance, you will be given a free robe at the entrance.

The powerful architectural monument looks majestic, especially the tallest tower, erected in honor of the Mother Queen and the 10-armed goddess Uma crowning its top.

Museums in Nha Trang

If you don't know what to do in Nha Trang when it rains, then I want to bring to your attention 3 interesting museums that will not make you yawn. You can find all the mentioned Nha Trang museums on the map.

Museum of Impressions

The Museum of Impressions in Nha Trang is an old restored four-story Vietnamese-Chinese house with a very authentic flavor. There are many exhibits and installations with which you can take illusion photographs. In one room you will walk on the ceiling, in another you will turn into a pretty Vietnamese girl, you can feed fish and turtles, walk along a steep bridge over an abyss and much more in the same spirit.

Now a few words about the sad. Many of the museum's exhibits are old and shabby, the rooms are small and very stuffy. Air conditioning is only on the second floor. You can also have a delicious meal in the cafe there. Reviews about the Nha Trang interactive museum are very varied: some like it, others can’t wait to run away.

How to get there: You can get to the interactive museum by a free bus from the Russian Information Center. You will be taken back in the same way.

The gallery is open from 9:00 to 21:00, located at: Buu Đoa – 10

Silk gallery

Another way to keep yourself busy during the rain in Nha Trang is to visit the local silk museum. Here you will find many silk products and paintings that seem to glow from within due to the smoothness of the silk thread. By and large, the silk museum in Nha Trang is a store where you can come, look at the exhibits, learn the history of the shop, see how silk products are made and buy something for yourself. The entrance is free.

The gallery is open from 7.30 to 22 hours.

You will find her by the address: 64 Tran Phu

Oceanographic Museum of Nha Trang

The Oceanographic Museum in Nha Trang is a pleasant annex to the Institute of Oceanography, founded in 1922. It was recognized as the first Scientific Research Center of Vietnam.

The building is old and, like any institute, is poorly funded. This is noticeable in the persistent Soviet spirit and time-worn exhibits and old aquariums with green water.

Here you will see small sharks, deadly puffer fish, lionfish, crabs and a lot of other colorful fish. Particularly impressive is the skeleton of a humpback whale (3 m high and 26 m long), which the Vietnamese reverence as a sacred animal. When a whale washes up on the shore, it is buried in the ground for several years, after which the skeleton is taken out and a temple is built in its honor. You can learn this and other interesting stories about fish if you take a guide.

Many people love the museum at the Institute of Oceanography in Nha Trang for the beautiful view it offers of the port and the cable car to Vinpearl. Many people come here when it rains in Nha Trang and there is nothing to do.

How to get to the Oceanographic Museum: take bus number 4 to Vinpearl, which is nearby.

Address: 1 Cau Da, Nha Trang, Vietnam

Admission ticket: 20-40,000 dong depending on the season.

Alexandre Yersin Museum

Alexander Yersin (in various sources Yersin) is a microbiologist. He came to Vietnam in his youth to treat horses, and remained to live in the country. This man identified the microbe that causes bubonic plague.

Currently, Dr. Yersin's library and his office have been turned into a popular museum. By and large, if you don’t know French and have little interest in science, then you won’t be very interested. There are Yersin's personal belongings here: letters, microscopes, test tubes, books and photographs.

It’s worth coming here if you want to take a look at the life of the great scientist. And the place where the museum is located is very beautiful.

The museum is located at: 8 - 10 Tran Phu St | In the Pasteur Institute

You can get there by taxi or by bike. The road itself is worth a lot. Imagine 30 km on an asphalt road in the middle of an impassable jungle. Along the way you will see waterfalls and a mountain river. If you're lucky, you'll be able to drive through the clouds. At the top there is a very beautiful view of the mountains. By the way, you can live here for only 200,000 dong.

Entrance to the Yersin Museum costs 28,000 VND.

Opening hours on weekdays: 07:30-11:00 and 14:00-16:30, on Saturday: 08:00-11:00

The Legacy of the Fisherman Le Caen

In 1971, a simple fisherman living on one of the islands near Nha Trang picked up a shovel and dug a pond. In the resulting pond, he began collecting a natural aquarium of exotic marine life. From this idea the famous Nha Trang Aquarium - Chi Nguyen, which is stunning with its appearance alone.

A whole line of associations immediately appeared in my head: The Flying Dutchman, Pirates of the Caribbean, novels by Jules Verne and other maritime legends. The Vietnamese nicknamed the giant aquarium " Neptune's Palace“, and we spent three hours admiring the magnificent collection of fish and marveling at the wild imagination of the architects: unusual, picturesque and very colorful.

How to get to the aquarium of Chi Nguyen Island on your own: rent a boat at the pier for $25 (round trip). Or you can visit the aquarium as part of a standard tour of the southern islands.

Admission ticket: 90,000 VND + if you want to visit the beach, 3 dollars for entrance and sunbed.

Here you can buy a large bag of food for 20,000 VND and feed local fish and giant turtles from a fishing rod. Many people like the Navy SEAL Show. I recommend visiting this attraction of Nha Trang with children, they will be delighted.

Mud baths of Nha Trang

Nha Trang is famous for its mud baths and spas. The most popular of them are: 100 eggs, Thap Ba and IResort hot springs.

100 eggs of Nha Trang: a love story between a dragon and a miracle bird

The good-natured people of Vietnam are very fond of fairy tales. One of the old legends was told to us at the moment when we declared a “day of spa tenderness” for ourselves.

Five years ago, the newest spa resort was opened on a vast area of more than 20 hectares. The complex gathered on its square: a greenhouse of lush Asian vegetation, houses and enclosures for animals, a Vietnamese village stylized as an old oriental settlement, a beautiful temple, observation rooms for lovers of outlandish landscapes.

The sign says: “100 Egg Mud Bath”; it got its name in honor of the story about the passionate love of a dragon for a strange bird. The fruit of the legendary passion was 100 eggs, and from them 100 peoples of Vietnam were born.

Prices from 6 to 25 dollars depending on the range of services.

How to get there:

  • On the already familiar bus number 4, stop at the port of Vinpearl.
  • On the free bus from Diamond Bay, he passes 100 eggs several times a day. You can catch the bus at the Nha Trang Center shopping center, which is on the embankment in the city center.
  • On a special transfer from the mud baths. You can order it at your hotel or any travel agency. Price for everything is 4 dollars.

Improve your health in the Thap Ba mud baths

Before plunging into the cycle of excursions, the range of which in Nha Trang will amaze even the most advanced tourist, we decided to have a relaxing day at the famous Thap Ba mud bath. It is difficult to describe in words the delight and pleasure that we experienced in this place, but an unequivocal verdict - you must definitely experience it for yourself.

My husband and I, like little children, frolicked under the stream of water saturated with mineral salts, lay in the jacuzzi, smeared mud on each other and then swam with ecstasy in the pool with mineral water. The aromas of eucalyptus and flowering exotic plants magically complement the overall picture.

After Thap Ba, you get the feeling that you have thrown off all the burden of worries and problems that you brought with you on vacation. Relaxation worthy of the attention of the Gods, that’s what my husband said about this place, and I completely agree with him.

Thap Ba is located 15 minutes from the center of Nha Trang at the address: No. 15 Ngoc Son, Ngoc Hiep.

Opening hours from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Because the place is very popular, I advise you to come from 12 to 15 hours, at this time there are the least people.

How to get there:

  • Again, the most tourist route 4 bus, stop at the Po Nagar towers, and then walk 2.5 km.
  • Or by transfer from Thap Ba. You can order it at the hotel reception, they will arrange everything for you. Cost 1.5 dollars.

Later we also visited I-Resort, another corner of Nha Trang, full of warm pools, therapeutic mud, and providing a whole range of body-pleasant treatments. I would not compare 2 mud baths, if only because each of these places is full of its own charms.

Zoclet Beach and its surroundings

We took a separate voyage towards the popular beach of Nha Trang – Zoklet or Doklet, as you prefer. Here, in the salt fields of Nha Trang “Hon Khoi”, the Vietnamese “snow queen” creates bizarre creations from snow-white salt crystals.

It is impossible to get snow in Vietnam in winter, but the salt fields flooded with sea water are very similar to the palaces of the ice goddess, only the material for creating miracle palaces is salt that has dried under the hot sun.

Vietnamese women extract salt from these fields from January to June. It takes about an hour to get here from the center of Nha Trang, Khon Khoi is on the way to Zoklet beach. Many photographers come here to take beautiful pictures.

We did not ignore trio of waterfalls Ba Kho (Baho). True, we only had the patience to get to know one of the water brothers; we were too lazy to get to the others along the difficult mountain road. A trip to Doklet beach is suitable for lovers of extreme sports and exotic things.
